ben15r 's soon to be turbo

I have been meaning to start this for a while

already done:
lowered on BC BR coilovers
TSW Nurburgring 18x8 with Hankook ventus RS3's 245 40
Accelerated Performance catback exhaust
Tinted all the lights
Rebadged to Toyota
tinted windows

Soon to be done:
FBM stage 1 base kit tuned by Dynosty
front lip splitter
and run it as often as possible

and the base dyno with only an Accelerated performance cat back (lets see that doubled)

How's the visibility with your headlights tinted like that? That would be a super quick way to a ticket around here.

Gonna need wider than 17x7 if you are gonna run a turbo kit.

Depends on the power, but I'd say 8 inch if you're 200whp, 8.5 for 250, 9 for 300, 9.5 for 350.

Always depends on type of tire.

I meant the wheel/tire you use should be dependent on how much power you have. Of course you can go over or under on tire width with wheels but I was just giving a rough guideline of what I've noticed what this car needs depending on power.

Yeah, its tough to have a rule of thumb like that, you just have to know how to setup the suspension to transfer weight to hook up the best, but a wide tire is probably most important, especially a sticky one.

If I was turbo'd I probably wouldn't look at anything narrower than a 9.5. THen again im not a person whos happy with 300hp lol

I can tell you right now that my super sticky 255 KDW2's were a just a tad much for 300whp. But it'll probably be too little when I go 425whp.

How do you like those tires? I was thinking of those or Pilot Super Sports

Dude they're insanely grippy. I can run traction off all day long in any weather condition and be fine. They're also good for drifting because of the super stiff sidewalls.

Sweet, thanks man. They have a much better selection of 18" sizes so I may go with them

Defiantly need to upgrade the lights, the stock ones are lacking. They still work but not great.

Oh and a correction 18x8 and 245 40's

I am happy with the Hankooks I have they seem to be good for stock, and seeing as I wasn't planning on getting a turbo this quick I am probably gunna regret the smaller tires
Hoping to step to flex fuel if Haltech puts a ecu out for it.
