I must say, TomTom for Android has been a massive disappointment. It's not nearly as polished as the iOS version, it's buggy and the screen layout is poor.

The one in the photo is "Route 66". Much better layout and stable.

I chatted to the folks at S.M.A.C and they said the PArrot Asteroid smart should be available in March. SA Price is still unknown though...?

it's supposed to arrive in shops in europe this week so i'm on the lookout for the first reviews...
good news is that play store can be installed apparently although resizing to fit the screen might be an issue with some

Cool, yeah installing Play Store via the browser should be very easy - just point it to the .apk file and it'll install. Question is how many of the apps would be marked as "compatible"?

What size is the LCD? I had to play around with the DPI to make some of the apps work. 6.2" 800x480 - 145dpi did the trick. It needs to be rooted for this though but I'm sure that's only a matter of time with the Asteroid.

My ELM327 dongles have arrived in the country - bluetooth, USB and WiFi. Can't wait to try Torque! From what I've read the WiFi one is pretty much guaranteed to work with Torque(root required),
