I haven't looked to see if we have the 81980-* turn signal relay, but this should be the replacement that will give you auto blink and LED compatibility.
Or see post #15 (above...) and just know that Tap Turn works with these cars, get the best.

I don't know why Subaru doesn't have these yet. My wifes Ford has it now. My BMW's had them. Hell, my 10 year old Jetta had them. It would be awesome if Subaru incorporates them in the new WRX! The little things like that is what keeps me going back to BMW.

I've noticed a few idiosyncrasies with the car and thought maybe some of you could help with answers to these questions.
I have use the search function but couldn't find these answers.

1. When idling with the air cond off, the tach sticks at 650 and doesn't move (ok, that's good). But when I turn the air cond on
the tach will move up to 750, and then, slowly return to 650 in 5 secs. Then about 10-15 secs later it will do it all over again
and again and again.
Why would the air cond compressor keep cycling on and off within 15 secend periods?

It's normal as the A/C is drawing power from the engine, if the ECU didn't tell the engine to spin a bit faster, the engine will most likely sputter and stall. As for the cycling, if it's a hot enough day to use A/C, it most likely means your radiator is constantly having the fan turn on to cool it down. Rad fan on = drawing from the alternator = drawing power from the engine.

2. When using a USB thumb drive to play music thru the head unit, it seems like a folder (in the thumb drive) can't have
more then 255 songs attach. One of my folders had 300 songs and I couldn't see more then 255 on the display, so I moved the
other 45 songs to another folder and then I could see them, is that what everybody understands?

Never had more than 20 songs in a folder so I can't tell you if it's like that on other radios but this has to do with the hardware for the particular radio.

7. The correct way to close the Hood..... drop it from 12" or press it closed?

Drop the hood from about 12 inches, you'll find that it closes and latches pretty easily. Pressing it closed runs the risk of denting the hood. Alumnimum hoods are very malleable. Same with doors, you don't close it partly and push the door the rest of the way with your ass. People do this and they see dents and scratches all over their doors from the button on their jeans or sometomes their belt. Rule of thumb when closing any doors on the car = Less contact with the paint the better.

I know this is a lot of questions, but would appreciate any answers to any of these.

Thanks for any help.

I think the other questions were answered already.

8. If you have the auto headlights on and you turn the car off, but don't get out, will the lights just stay on?
sub-question: if you do get out, but had popped the trunk from the button on the dash, will the lights stay until you close the trunk?

Thanks for any help.
The Auto headlights will turn off immediately if you double click the lock button on the keys.
