It was my first time on full course, still a newbie (only 4 overall real track days under me). I was entering 16 about 62 if I recall the GPS logs.
<racedriverexcuses> I'm fat and weight the car down I'm using 7" wheels with 215s excuse #3 excuse #4 </racedriverexcuses>

I'm fat too. No excuse ![]() I am using wider tires but that can hurt on a low HP car too. I'll datalog this weekend since last time I made the brilliant decision to update firmware on the Solo forgetting that I never downloaded the data.. yeah.. my BRZ data and data from the Boss 302 were both lost ![]() I need to bleed brakes, switch pads, etc tonight

17x8 RPF1s in the common offset (45 IIRC), 17x9s RPF1s are now reported to fit in +35.
Some other info here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19756

Our systems fit a wide range of 17's, but you need a spacer with the OEM wheels.
You can check wheel fitment on our site for either: Sprint wheel fitment template Endurance wheel fitment template There's also a dedicated wheel fitment thread here. Wheels that customers have told me fit without any spacer: Sprint Enkie RPF1 17x8 45 Wedsport TC105n 17x9 35 Mach V Motorsports "Awesome" wheel 17x9 42 Work Ultimates 18x8.5 47 Sparco (designed by OZ) Assetto Gara 17x7.5 48 Endurance Enkie RPF1 17x8 45 BBS CH-R 18x8 38

Depends on what you consider adequate. Will it get the job done? Yes. Is it cost effective? No.
The S2k's brakes get the job done, but it's expensive to sustain. aCab is one of the fastest guys in the country... on a whole different level from me. Quote:

He's also probably more efficient with his brake usage compared to me ![]() Sadly I lost all confidence in the stock gear and I doubt I'll ever get it back.

Now I know you guys are just full of crap. I'm not fast, I'm just stupid enough not to know to drive slower. Two tire walls this year is testament to that. But the more beat up the s2000 body got, the faster the lap times were!Agreed that the stock braking system is not economical by any means, but I do have my reasons: I think the stock calipers will work is due to me needing to believe that they WILL, so I don't spend those precious NASA TT points on them. If brake wear is anywhere between the S2k (wear through pads fast), and miata (wear through pads slowwwwww), I'll be ok. I see that most everyone is running brake kits dave, mike, robi, etc. I'm interested to know what the limits of the stock system are. Yes, I sell parts for a living, so I'm inclined to say they are needed but if you're only using them to slow or settle the chassis, that are their limitations with good fluid, stainless lines, and good pads? I'm sure ill find out this season. |

Robi was using an ULTRA light rotor. I don't know the exact weight, but I'd guesstimate around 6 lbs per ring. He cracked one in 2 places this weekend ala s2k. :o They were replaced by some beefier ones... |

Stock car you just need pads and fluid. Unless you make like 500+hp. BBK kit will slow you down in the turns with too much bite.

I love the Sprint kit for its weight savings and for its ability to slow down wear on components. |
