Thats crazy! Come on Subaru ! Is it that hard to make a watertight chassis ? sealing every gap WTH
I cant wait to get back behind the wheel of my brz in spring but this kill the excitement... i think its a major problem ! Taking everything apart from a new car to hunt holes not sealed at factory hummm nooooo!!

i restored rust bucket car and oh god u dont want water and salt in there.

Toyota and Subaru need to be aware of this asap

Recently noticed small gatherings of salt under the spare tire and corners under jack and tools. Thought I was going crazy and must have been something I put in there, but now I'm going crazy thinking this actually got in there from driving. Thank you for your diligence.

Well, I confirmed I have dust accumulation in the same pocket and the same holes that are not sealed. My shop light had shown through as well. However I am proud to say I have all the underbody plugs

The build quality of these cars is beginning to remind me of Lotus. Lotus from the 1960s, that is.

Wow thats unacceptable. I'm glad I don't live in areas where there is a lot of salt, but even then a car shouldn't be like this. This is a nice car and I love it, but build quality is shit. Scuffs easily, scratches easily, and now holes underneath where rust can build up..

My picture was of a Lancia beta, if I remember correctly, Lancia just about went under (or did?) when they had to buy back all the rusty pile's of Lancia Beta from angry customers.

I hear ya on the corolla thing though, it wasn't too long ago when (in the US) Japanese cars weren't known for much else than having low build quality. I hope this car doesn't bring that back...

I'm so prepared for a press release from Subaru/Toyota with some fluff about how the holes improve aerodynamics

My dad said he was getting 34 mpg from that old rust bucket... he misses the hell out of that car. Was a manual shifter on the floor... the rubber boot was worn out, the floor was rusted good n plenty, but he said it ran like a sewing machine. LOL... that shifter was like 2 ft long... I was a child when he got rid of that thing.
