I'd much rather have it in the glovebox myself. I plan to move mine if I ever get bored enough. Having to move/hide the ipod everytime I leave the car parked somewhere is annoying.. glove box = problem solved.

I'll need to source that canadian blockoff plate eventually

I love the delete plate. I'm going to eventually fabricate my garage door opener button into it.

I actually love having the USB plug in the console. It sucks, and suprising the BRZ doesn't put it there.

I originally plugged my Iphone into it to charge and play tunes. I've since move the charging to the cupholder area and bought a microusb stick to store music on. Works out very well.

I'm not a fan of having the USB (and Aux) input on the dashboard. I would much prefer it in the glovebox with the 12V power supply. I never leave my iPod out in plain sight when the car is parked so having to run a wire into the glovebox just looks bad.

Your in Toronto? The Canadian models come with the USB and audio plug in the back of the glove box. Problem solved.

Guess I should've read the whole thread....lol

If you have the USB/AUX port in the glove box, Is the port the same size? It may fit in the dash location?

The BRZ does have it on the console just like the FR-S, but only on the US model. The Canadian model of both cars have it in the glovebox.

If you were to poll this, I would think it would probably be 50/50 as to what everyone would prefer.

All the little differences between the US spec, CAD spec, EUR spec, and JPN spec is quite ridiculous. It does give us some fun stuff to talk about in the mean time.

Maybe the difference is related to the fact that the Canadian BRZ has a different Pioneer-branded HU, possibly connecting through the glovebox works better for that unit?

But then why would it be in the glovebox for the FRS? It is strange that they didn't use the same location globally, but I'm sure there is some reason...none that I can think of though lol.

Maybe the FR-S HU is "position neutral" on these inputs... so they went with what's best for our BRZ
