debadge help

I've searched and looked at quite a few threads on this, but I wanted to ask for some more help in terms of debadging the front scion emblem. I opened up the hood and noticed I can't get under the badge so do I take a pocket driver with a tower at the end of the driver and pry up or do I try to get it it out with fishing wire or dental floss? I read in many posts that the front paint is very thin and I would hate to chip the pain. Any advice would be fantastic. Thanks in advance!

I swapped my Toyota badges yesterday for some Grazio ones.
For the front badge I used two flat trim removal tools wrapped in MF cloths, warm up the adhesive with a hairdryer, insert the trim tools either side of the locating pegs, gently lever and hey presto the peg snaps easily. I did this after trying to use dental floss which didn't even scratch the locating peg.
Absolutely no damage to the paint work as a result, the MF cloths got gummed up with adhesive but they were only cheap ones that I don't use anymore.

I got mine off using only a hair dryer, dental floss, and my finger nails but it was seriously stuck on there and it took about 30 minutes of constant heating/pulling/flossing. I felt like my finger nails were going to be ripped off by the time I got it off...Just take it slow and heat it. The trim remover that somebody else said already will probably save your nails for you. However, using my nails my pegs didn't snap off. Everything came out cleanly in one piece.

I also used some 70% isopropanol to clean up the residue but I'm not sure how much it helped.. I thought it would eat at the residue but I'm not sure it worked. In hind sight, acetone (you can use nail polish remover for diluted acetone) probably would work well - just don't use too much or else it might damage the paint. Goo Gone should be good too (but again, too much can damage the paint).

I used my finger nails and dental floss. I ended up breaking the little legs off of the badge trying to pull it off, so be careful.

I didn't use any chemicals to remove sticky residue. Just use the pad of your finger to rub it off. Then use a mircro fiber cloth to clean up.

I used Zip ties, its much faster, but there is a small scratch that is covered by the new toyota emblem. Attack the points of the scion badge, there is no tape there and know where the pegs are on the emblem
