Dash cam would have caught this fool red-handed. Sorry for your bad luck.
Also, it's possible that they failed to steal the lights because they saw someone coming..

How do you know they weren't after the bumper cover? Do the headlights bolt through it or in the vicinity?

I was thinkin same thing .. but they dont. When I had my bumper cover off to install the hella's I didn't have to mess with the headlights at all.

I was thinking of the Blackvue cam, which is pretty low profile and easily installed out of sight. If you actually just put it on your dash, then of course it might get stolen.

Could be a FRS owner, could not be.. we'll never know so if the BRZ folk want to keep assuming a fellow 86 owner tried to do this then to each his own. imo this brz vs frs hate really brings down the whole community.
Hope some evidence comes up OP, sucks this had to happen.

I still chuckle at comments about ewwww scion...especially with the triplets...its the same car, minor electronic/cosmetic differences...which if your gonna change out anyways, definitely doesn't matter.

Some people are just stupid to try and downgrade another person with the same damn thing, only to try and start shit. There are people out there that will steal anything they think they can grab for a buck. Doesn't mean its someone that needs it stole it you dumb fucks.

I believe my alarm is the viper 250 two way. If anyone breaks into my car I have a pager that tells me where the impact or activity is located (doors, trunk center of vehicle ect.). The distance is pretty far so you can feel confident even at work. It was not expensive at all because it does not have a remote start. I'll look for the model number when I have a chance
