They may have stolen a few things, but at least those tools didn't steal your car.

And were there any camera's around to check in on?

Scion owners 4 sure!<<< stupidest statement ever.

Sorry about the mishap. I'm sure insurance will fix it all up nice. Being in proximity to cameras is a plus, but a Blackvue wouldn't do much but get stolen. At least I try to park in highly visible spots where theives and vandals can't hide.

This is why I invest in 2 things.

1 - 2 way pager alarm w/extra sirens and batteries so it can't be turned off without a key.

2 - GPS alarm (there's only a couple companies that offer these) as soon as you open any of my doors, glass is broken, engine is started or the car is physically moved out of a 20ft perimeter I will get a call, text, e-mail all at once. They will also contact my secondary contact if they have any issues getting a hold of me. $120/year contract and a few hundred for the actual unit(s).

I drive the highest theft target cars in N.America and they have ten's of thousands of dollars into them (Read Civic Sir and Integra Type R..google to see how often these stupid cars are stolen). Only way to drive these cars without worrying about going anywhere public is proper protection from asshat's.

I live in a poor city with a pretty high crime rate. I can't believe how much people go after Civics and Integras. Even beat to shit piece of crap ones get parted out right in our private parking lot. Several people in my building have gotten different cars because nothing else would stop people from breaking into and/or taking their Hondas.

how does your alarm work? how much does it cost?
after reading this post i'm seriously considering a better alarm system.

I have heard about people stealing HID's back in the day but I think they were going for the headlights for sure.

That freaking sucks. They should make a kill switch for the hood release.

I am doubtful someone who legally owns an FR-S would go out and smash car glass to then try and pry out BRZ headlights. It is possible, but you wont win detective of the year for that theory.

Maybe some homie figures he could get a few bucks for those parts, and yes they might have a customer in mind, it could even be an order placed. However these aren't pros or they would have gotten the job done.

I believe it is called the two way alarm system where whatever part of the car is "broken into" lets say the passengers door? The Keychain'd rectangler LCD screen radio will beep like a car alarm on your keys showing what part of the car is opened. The screen on the keychain has a picture of a car.

I found that people save lots from buying on ebay or other online sites

Sorry this happened to you man.

I have to agree with a few people here; whoever did this was going after the assemblies rather than just the bulbs.

I know everyone gets really uppity about the punishment for theft in Saudi Arabia, but honestly, if a thief knew he could lose a hand, well there would be a lot less theft...

I'll bust out the sword if anyone catches the fucker...

So aftermarket alarm > built in dealership alarm? I feel like the dealership one doesnt do anything unless the car starts? I dont even know what it does tbh
