Is 220 the max oil temp you can display? Can it be raised to 300 or more for track duty?

You should be able to raise it, it's just a setting.

If you are seeing 300 degrees on a track your engine is probably not going to last very long.

Anyone know how to use the dyno mode? I'm interested in getting some baseline results to see the difference of some modifications.

When i go back on e-85 i was going to test these out and see what i get. Ill try on pump gas and see what i get with a tune

I can't see exceeding 220*C even on a track ... Remember the temp is in *C not *F so for you southern folk that is 430*F

If your temp gets up to 220 C your engine will be toast. My torque app reads in fahrenheit (you can change it to Celsius) and varies between 180 to 205 in normal driving. At 260* you will probably go into limp mode. I had an oil cooler on my 370Z and despite having a 180* thermostat it rarely reached 170* driving around down which can be bad also.

430F is ridiculously high for oil temps. The sensor is set up as C but that would be converted just like any other sensor all of which are initially configured in C.

I tried to do some runs on a somewhat flat road. it was a little wet on the road but not sure if it wud affect the numbers that much.
3rd gear 3.7
4th gear 4.8
5th 6.7
6th 9.3(not sure why it took that long)

My girlfriend put hess gas in my car i usually go shell or sunoco so im not sure if im running on crappy gas but doing the pull in 6th felt super sluggish

At the time of my runs I had BP gas in the car with a fuel level between 1/2 to 1/4. Also I dropped my speed a couple of mph below 60 before flooring it.

I am curious to hear others impressions of logging speed using an elm bluetooth adapter and android s3. I have logging interval set to .2 and it is common for me to see 3-4 duplicate values in a row in the logfile for speed and rpm. Is this as fast as these two sensors update? The duplicates skew virtual dyno runs a bit.

Anyone has any recommendation on iPhone app?
I've been researching the few apps that are available, but their customer reviews are either bad or very limited if at all. I'd like to be able to input the oil temp, and I'm not sure if any of them allow customization. Any input, with first hand experience would be appreciated.

I just picked up a USB adapter to log on my laptop. I'm getting too many errors from the bluetooth (errors in the datalogging). I'll continue to run Torque here and there via bluetooth but I want to get some more accurate reads for tuning purposes.

I'm using an OBDLink MX and have had good luck with logging both with speed and accuracy, Torque even supports a specific mode for it. However it's not cheap compared to the other ELM BT adapters.
