yeah i heart solidworks, i get more productivity with SW than i do with other programs. Iv played with Mastercam once but i never got into it.

I wish i went to some art school or design school. I found out i had the skillset to be a designer a bit to late. Now i have to wait a few years before I can return back to school.

I agree, the second I started using SW I thought my god I wish I didnt waste all that time learning Inventor, SW is such a better program.

I myself had left my program after the 3rd semester because of the automotive recession and I wasnt sure that I wanted to be in that industry but after some time off and thinking about how making aftermarket parts has always been my dream, I returned and am just about finished now and I am glad I did.

I would really like to see a functional rear diffuser. Cut out the black plastic, and slide in a functional one that would start behind the rear diff. I saw somewhere that a smooth underbody would be available.

I have been in celica club for nearly a decade and I can honestly tell you that most do it yourselfers that try to help out community get squirly rep at the end of the day.

We had kids that tried to mass produce body parts only to have significant issues with shipping (ie parts breaking) or those that did interior pieces and eventually acquired a middle men who screwed up just about everything.

If you go for the rep then you must produce something that nobody else can. In my tacoma club for example we have a guy who makes devil horns for toyota but he also has a cafoffle with toyota not being happy about their logo tampered with. So...

Honestly put I would concentrate your efforts on providing services (installing things) rather than building things. People like brand names as much as they like saving money. HKS and Greddy just roll of the tongue so between that and joe shmoe part they would go for a safe bet which is one that comes with a guarantee from manufacturer.

Mayb 5 speed box for racing guys or 6 speed dog box for hard core racers

Go even crazier billet NA flat 6 with D4S with ITB.
