That looks great. The blocked view does suck. Where else could you mount them?

That second gauge does block quite a bit more visability.

A-Pillar gauges need to DIAF. Least favorite spot.

I would like to have someone mold gauge pods into the top of the OEM gauge cluster cover/whatever you want to call it. The rounded bit above the gauges. That part is plastic, cheapish to buy and easy to wire stuff into. Also keeps gauges very close to each other and would be a little less annoying.. here's a post I made in this thread with ideas: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=159

I would make holes larger. So they can fit the stock vents. Then insert a 60mm gauge in it . keeps air flow and look oem
I really llike diy, devi gauge setup in the vent

People complain when gauges are located in a spot that is nearly impossible to see while driving then say gauges located at eye level easily viewable while driving need to DIAF. I guess it is a lose lose situation.

I do not like gauges on the A-pillar. On top of/near the gauge cluster hood is my more preferred location. I didn't tell ya how to mount your gauges, so do what you prefer.

Being able to see them and having them somewhere that's not the A pillar are not mutually exclusive...

Above the gauge hood is easy to see with the other gauges

The MSA is a well done piece, I just don't like losing that much visibility while having that gauges that visible to others around the car. Theft concerns, making it obvious the car likely has some bling parts, etc are all cons to me.

However, until someone comes up with a better solution for two gauges, it's what I'll be using. After seeing MSA's work I'd love to see them come up with a gauge hood solution, then I'll send it to JPM and have it covered in alcantara.

That sounds like a winner to me. I would probably add a second oil pressure/temp gauge at that point. I only have the JPM cluster hood so far, but I want it all.

I gotta say that the PrimeMotoring solution is actually really good. I have no visibility issues, in fact I can see the whole gauge for my driving position. It's impossible to take a picture that truly represents the view, but I have had no issues seeing it and have never had to adjust my head to see it. I guess during cornering the wheel can block it, but really the only time I look at my Failsafe is when I'm cruising along to make sure I'm still running nice and perfect under boost. I also plan on doing the vent mounted oil/water temp gauge one of these days as well. I don't like pillar pods in the least.

I'm also considering this as well:

We'll see....
