I had a feeling that's what those were. Any pics of how you mounted them?

yes but need to get them to photobucket..
drivers front outside going clockwise (we mounted these like this to get me close enough to the pedals) we would reverse this mounting for taller people (6'2" and taller)

Passenger side starting from inside front and going clockwise

we will have an even lighter more racing oriented solution soon (removes 60 lbs from the cars total weight)

Would someone kindly post a few views of the stock seat brackets and where it attaches to the seat. I am 6'4" and my head rest on the roof. I am really wanting this car, and would like to see if there is room to make a bracket to lower the stock seat. I don't need it to move.

Thank you.

Well things have finally worked out and I have ended up ordering a drivers seat... a Recaro Sportster CS with red center section - because FR-S! (I really thought about all black, but then it would look weird to me with a plain black drivers seat next to the passenger seat with red stitching and accents.)

Stopped by Pro AM Auto and sat in one of two all black ones they had in inventory (and I could have brought home...oh how I wanted to bring one home! LOL). OH MY, such an extremely comfortable seat - dare I say even more comfortable than the old Recaro Trend Ergonomic seat I have and would have loved to fit somehow in the FR-S! The trip back home was almost unbearable with the stock seats afterwards compared to the trip up to Pro AM Auto. All I could think about was the pressure point focused on my butt and uncomfortableness in the shoulders with the stock seats, it was really bothering me unlike any time previously. The Recaro Sportster CS was a seat I just melted most comfortably into while still having excellent support. Took me all of 1 second sitting in it to convince me to get it. Anyways, I'll have some time to figure up a mounting system for it, but it will be hard/fixed mounted in as low and perfect a position as I can get it. I just have to bear with the stock drivers seat for about 8+ more weeks... it will be frigging hard to wait that long!

This thread is what got me considering the Recaro Sportster CS, and after having just sat in on this afternoon it 100% sold me on the seat...

But I highly don't recommend sitting in a Recaro Sportster CS unless it can be brought home the same day... because when you get back into the stock seats your whole opinion of them has changed and they have become the worst seats ever made and you have months to be tortured in them while the Recaros are coming in!...LOL

Pass seat goes in next week.

WE tried doing fixed back seats last month but it sits WAY too high in this car.

Recaro's weigh 33 lbs each. Stock seats 46 lbs.

Hi! I bought a Sportster cs a few weeks ago and I have tried both Planted seat base with Recaro slider and Bride RO seat base. Both of them put me higher than the stock seat. I'm 6' and my hair toches the roof liner all the time. May I ask that what is your set up that can put the Sportster lower than stock? The photos in the thread are expired. Thank you so much and have a good day!

Hmmm...my recollection is that we used the Recaro Sportsters with Recaro sliders and Planted Seat brackets. Not 100% sure but that's what I have in my notes.
