Any update on the dyno? I wish I would have got some baselines before I installed mine. I'm too lazy to throw the OEM intake back on but I've collected a lot of data logging on the AEM. I'm going to install my unichip tonight and see what happens.

FWIW - Here are the raw A/F ratio numbers (no smoothing) - Full Throttle in 3rd gear

I'm kinda skeptical about the whole MAF sensor module. I wonder if it was used as a "hack" to compensate for a flaw in the design. :/ Can any one correct me?

I thought the module just corrected the air readings for the MAF since the intake piping is larger in diameter than the stock piping. Allowing the vehicle to run smooth.

That is exactly what it does.

once tunes do you still need that plugged in? or is this sort of like a big maf intake essentially and this plug just corrects it for stock tune?

how about a group buy

I suppose that depends on the module that AEM designed to go inline with the MAF sensor.

If the module artificially "corrects" the values returned by the MAF to work with the intake then a tune would negate the need for it. However, I have heard a few people (including AEM) claim that it smoothens out the reading from the MAF after installing the intake. If that statement is taken literally, then I've seen this type of trickery before back in the day by installing an inline capacitor in the wiring and if that's the case, you'd still need the module with or without a tune.

I would be curious to dissect one of those modules to see what its really made of. I'm just not going to buy a whole AEM intake to get my hands on one.

I like ETI concept . but there are ETI module failure issues .
