I know going past 10psi every other car will perform VERY different and I suppose noone from this thread expects the 10+psi off-the-shelf solution

It would be just great to get the hardware to support that kind of power, having an ECUTEK Pro Guy standing next to you and leaning his geeky hands to your OBD-2 port )

To sum up, question:
Would you be able to include other far-going items in the package for the shipping batch?

My mods by now:
1) clutch: to withstand 300 lb\ft (HKS LA),
2) exhaust: 2,5" Milltek catback with a Motiv HiFlow Catted Front pipe

Seems I'll be needing extra:
1)injectors,
2 fuel pump
3)MAP sensor
4)AVO overpipe coated with matching ceramic coat
5) else?

I expect the basic map just to allow start-up and movement to the dyno-spot, nothing like fireworks strightaway )

PS - Sorry for leading this thread maybe too private, but I suppose I'm not the only one having these questions in mind

I'm guessing the specifics will be unknown until AVO designs and releases other kit versions (stage 2, 3?, 4?). To properly answer your question, AVO would first need to design the system to specific safe parameters which takes time, that so far has been dedicated to designing the kit, finalizing stage 1, building them and starting specifics of stage 2.


My personal guess is you won't see components to supports 10+ psi until Stage 3+ if they do release more stages. (Of course, you can get the components yourself and make the 10+ psi without waiting for them to design it through your local shop).

Not to mention, seconding what Paul already said, that at that level you are talking about several other modifications needed like suspension, brakes, tires, motor mounts, clutch; not to mention taking the stock engine internals to the edge and having to start thinking about upgrading them (not meaning that you would need to upgrade them right away or that the motor will break anytime soon but it starts coming into play way sooner than say being on the Stg 1 kit with a good, safe tune)... It can get PRICEY!

I got this ^

everything else of course will be supporting that much power ( suspension, motor mounts, brakes, tires, clutch, oil cooler, etc )

the only spot I'd love to avoid putting apart is the FA20, which is a masterpiece

If AVO won't be able to recommend certain injector/fuel pump sizes and MAP sensor scale - seems I'll be digging that out myself

I'll let AVO answer that.

I can personally recommend you to look at what kits currently doing 10+ psi right here on the forum are doing for fuel upgrades and go from there. For MAP sensor you should get a 3 BAR sensor which is the most common.

Here's the specifics of our Stage 2.0, which we've decided will be 7.5 psi setup that retains stock fueling.

3-bar MAP Sensor
7psi Actuator, or Boost Controller and standard 5psi Actuator
2.5" Cross over pipe
2.5" Stainless Steel Front Pipe with 5" metal cat
Stage 2.0 Base Map Tune with 8psi Fuel Cut

Final tuning for this package will be done in early March, after which we'll release these packages.

We feel this is a good base for setups going to 8~14psi, in that all you need to add after that is fueling and tuning.

Yes, we'll have it available as a package, and as individual pieces. For instance, some people may have already gotten a cross-over and front pipe.

Do you have any rough performance figures yet?

Roughly - and I do mean, roughly - between 250~270whp, 215-230 ft/lbs of torque depending on gas quality, elevation, dyno, etc. If it's for an automatic or manual will also change those figures. I won't have final figures until our Master Tuner, Ross, flies over from Japan in early March and we do another big road trip/road tune. The dyno tune doesn't take long, it's the road trip to verify the settings in various conditions that will take some time.

Will the stage 2 be cheaper to buy stage 2 immediately as a complete package as opposed to stage 1 and then upgrading to stage 2?

Example:

Base turbo kit: $4400
Stage 2 add on: $1400

Total: 5800$

Complete Stage 2 Turbo kit: 5400$

Also, the manual generates more whp correct?
