Also - where is the rear rebound adjustment? I'm guessing the reservoir knob controls compression.

I assume from the picture it is the knob on top of the coilover you are looking for.

Rebound adjustment is generally found on the top for non-inverted dampers.

We're kind of excited about these coilovers. We had a little bit of experience with R2 coilovers for EVO X last year and at that point there were still a few kinks they had to work out (spring lengths) but the dampers themselves were pretty darn good. It looks like they've taken the time to get these right for BRZ.

Can any of the knowledgeable racing guys that came from other platforms chime in here on how Eibach's coilovers stack up vs the big names in the industry? Ohlins, KW, Motion Control, Koni, etc. They weren't an option on my last car so I've never really heard much about them. Before now I had always thought of their products as mid level "good" stuff but these seem pretty high end in their engineering.

Evasive Motorsports driver, Rob Walker, who drives their project FR-S has the Multi Pro R2 coilover on his personal S2000. He had been using the Evasive Spec Tein SRC for years before switching to the R2 kit and immediately dropped over half a second from his personal best lap time at Buttonwillow the first day testing these.

Here's a great review he did and he's still using the same kit and still breaking records with street tires.

After reading on a few other R2 models for other cars, it really does seem these usually come with around stock length bodies. I'm going to assume it's not really recommended to lower the car much at all. I hope this isn't the case with the FRS/BRZ

The shock bodies are definitely shortened for all models the R2s are made for. However, they typically have more droop travel than other kits with an adjustable spring perch and adjustable shock body length.

I have the Multi Pro R2 on my track Civic and it's pretty low with plently of suspension travel.

The FR-S and BRZ can most certainly be lowered enough without compromsing the suspension geometry.

Those R2s are custom valved and is hardly similar to the standard R2s. Similar to the Tein SRCs, the Evasive Spec SRC is completely different compared to the off the shelf model. The BRZ/FRS responds remarkably well to coilovers like it was designed for coilovers. The S2000 is a different platform. Rob also ran the HKS coilovers to a blazing time at Buttonwillow as well. Those coilovers are nearly half the price of the ones mentioned earlier, however, the ride quality is not as good as the ones above.

Without getting into specifics, the Evasive spec and off-the-shelf R2 kits for the S2000 are very similar in valving minus the springs. I merely used Rob's review as an example in reply to SubieNate's question. The FR-S/BRZ R2 coilovers have not been released to the public for sale.

Yes, Rob is fast and he ran great times with the HKS Hiper Max coilvoer...but he didn't break any of his own records with them.

I was just worried since with the S2K in the link above, Evasive said it's the same length as stock, well at least on the Evasive spec R2 but I believe they are identical to the normal R2. Only reason maxrev is so low is because he's using RCAs

I just feel going lower on a stock body length is like using lowering springs with stock shocks, but my knowledge is very limited. I'm not sure what Eibach is doing for the FRS but it would be nice to get some info.

The lengths are definitely shorter than stock and the FR-S has limited travel in the rear from the factory. Yes, this was accounted for when designing the FR-S/BRZ coilovers and the car can be lowered a sufficient amount.

What specific info would you like to see?

That's good to know. I just wanted to make sure they were indeed shorter then stock. That was my only concern about these coilovers. For me it's basically between these, Tein SRC, and RCE Tarmac. I just hope all 3 are released soon
