Please cite that. I want you to quote the post in which I said "this doesn't deserve respect." I'll wait.

Right, because there is only one way to disrespect, saying the exact words "this doesn't deserve respect." Comparing dropping a 2jz into a gt86 with people installing altezzas basically shits all over the work. I mean seriously dude? I seriously doubt more than a handful of people will EVER drop a 2jz into their gt86.

It was a broad comparison on why people get jaded from seeing things over and over. Am I supposed to be able to help the fact that you seem to be personally offended by it? OP isn't from what I can tell, so why are you?

In fact, I said earlier that swaps are awesome, and the first comment I made I said that it was nuts (just so we're clear here, that's nuts good crazy, not nuts bad stupid.) Sorry I didn't bow down and worship the vehicle, I guess?

I respect any amount of well-done work and fabrication that anyone puts into a vehicle, be it power or show. Even if it's not necessarily something I agree with. I guess I need to make a signature to express that so I don't offend anyone else.

edit: I also think a lot of people came in here with different expectations, as has been said above. Without the "2JZ swap" tacked onto the title, people might be assuming this much power was made on the original engine.

The way the car should have come from the factory, priced at $32K. Perfect.

And it goes on and on.

The problem is not the car, it's the thread title.

There's mountains of rubbish to wade through on this forum, so thread titles are important.

Not mad. Not a "fan boy." Just don't see the point. I bought Saabs and had their engines tuned to maximize their power. Seeing people like John Z Williams build a 400hp monster on STOCK internals is an achievement. Again, my opinion, just buy the supra.

I do respect the power the engine is making and they did a great job tuning the crap out of it. But in my mind, it's not an FR-S anymore. You change the engine setup, you change the dynamics of the car.
