Installed my Mountek CD Slot Mount for my Galaxy Note running CM10.1 JellyBean. Fits great in the slot, and holds my phone tight and securely in either portrait or landscape orientation. Thanks to @pixel67 for the introduction to this nice little mount.
Using this with an ELM-327 OBDII Bluetooth Adapter and the Torque app to monitor Oil, Coolant, and Intake temps as well as lateral G's, throttle position, and AFR. The OBDII adapter isn't connected and the engine is off in the pics so that's why there's no data being displayed, but with the PID for Oil Temp plugged in everything works great on the road, and the data will be even more useful on the track, where I'm confident the mount will continue to do its job well. The stock headunit is still accessible, but a bit obscured from view, but not enough to bother me. Of course I still have the ability to use Bluetooth audio and call streaming, and any other GPS related apps without fumbling with my 5.3" phone, so this mount is worth its weight in gold to me!!

I had the Mountek too. Perfect positioning, and doesn't block too much. I also liked that it could be removed quickly.
I used a flathead screw to replace the tightening knob so I could see a bit more of the screen. Only things I didn't like were: a little wobbly, blocks a small portion of the top screen, and slightly / temporarily deforms the CD dust flaps. I ended up getting the Proclip, seems a bit more sturdy / less shaky. Problem is it moves the phone farther to the right instead of right at the center. (But I can see the full radio screen) |

Interesting mount. I've been using a generic suction style holder which works great. I'm running the same set up w/ adapter and app but I don't run it all the time. Mostly to just get logging data. That phone is huge! It's probably the picture perspective but I thought it was a tablet.

Yeah I noticed it was a little bit wobbly at first, but after tightening the adjustment screw at the back where the pivot point is, the whole thing firmed up considerably so for now it's pretty solid and doesn't move at all. Did you ever try playing a cd with the mount in? Not sure if it would work or not, don't care to try!
