I would assume the rest of the wheels not in the list above are forged.

edit - Actually, yeah... If you go to the product line it says exactly what's what:

Can someone point me towards moderately priced wheels with a deep lip and looking for them in 18X8.5 for front and 18X9.5 rear, I am dropped on H&R super sports (which I love btw, you can not tell in the cabin that anything is different, such a smooth ride for a drop they are incredible!)

XXR 526's? but not in the sizes you want. But might as well if your going for the look. And their cheap wheels. Go 18x10.5 rear, 18x9 front, pretty deep lip too. Might need some pulling in the rear though.

*** OFF TOPIC - BBS wheel stuff ***

Ah, thanks for the BBS America information.

This is their German website:
http://www.bbs.com/de/showroom/showroom.html

And there, they show a lot less models than on their USA website. I am really astonished! In Germany website, they only list like 7 current models. But then if you click under "Products" they show 9 models (its titled: BBS Programm 2012). All the 7 or 9 rims shown on the German website seem to be "cast" to me.

Well, whatever... very incoherent and confusing... puzzling that such strong brand provides such divergent information....

Regardless, the BBS forged wheels on the US website are really nice.

I'm pretty sure you'll find that the only forged BBS wheels are made in Japan, not Europe.

@coyote

Yes... by now I have come to this same conclusion.

From my spending hours on reading up all sorts of google hits it seems in terms of actual forged wheel manufacturing capabilites there is only RAYS in Japan that have a factory with those heavy duty presses. I further understand that RAYS is a contract manufacturer for various other wheel companies. Again, do not take my word for absolute gospel, but I read that they produce forged wheels for Yokohama/Advan, Weds, BBS, Work (?)... so basically in terms of "forged", there is pretty much only RAYS Volkracing that are truly "original" wheels so to speak, the others are just marketing.
