Hey to the guy in the red Mercedes C230 at the stop light today, no the motion I was making was not "Hey, lets race!" it was "Hey, roll down your window so I can tell you your hood is popped up and you might want to check it".

Oh, and while I'm at it if you are going to buy a used Mercedes it'll up your street cred if you remove the KIA dealership badge off the back after you buy it....

I feel your pain. In college I only had two roommates (one a a time) and decided it was enough. The cleaning part was the worst! I'm glad you found yourself an aparment for yourself now!

I wondered how we have been having this conversations via posts at 3-5 am and now understand why

I am working until March 6 pm to 6 am so I can totally relate to what you are going through. I have family members staying at my house right now and every day I'm being woken up at around 9 am because of random noise, a solid two hours after catching sleep.

There's gotta be some way. Every optical disc drive I've come across has a manual eject for cases like this, even if it's not well documented. Do you get power to it? Can you hold the eject down for 10 seconds to get it to spit out? Worth a shot, a bunch of stuff online said it worked.

If not, it's probably not the worst electronic surgery in the world to crack it open, since it's probably out of warranty anyway. I had to do this twice on my PS2 to adjust the voltage on the laser.

edit: Here ya go! Have at it!

Well, except it says remove the disc... and no way how to do that..

Recently becoming single.. Its going to be odd having my house to myself like when I first bought it. .. gonna have to spend for some new furniture... and it'll be weird for a little while...

but I'll have the place to myself again... all to myself... Not that my x was all that bad or anything but its a completely different feel between sharing a space and having it to yourself.

as for roommates.. nah, not my deal. Family staying with me? HAHAHA .. there's a reason I live 5 hours from the nearest relative

It's ok Ichi, just do it like the rest of us. Take out screws until you get what you need out....then put it back together. When the case is closed, count any remaining screws. If you have any left, congratulations, you have reconstructed it more efficiently than it was before!

Did that to my GF's ps2 not too long ago. Swear I couldn't even find where it needed the screw.....and then there's the matter of the memory card slot screws being stripped out....or the plastic just being that brittle in that area. Took it apart and rebuilt it about 5 times and never saw a missing screw spot.

Fortunately I've yet to run into that situation with a car lol.

I keep picturing that scene from Home Alone when he keeps running around the house yelling "I'm Free!"
haha :happy0180:
