I have noticed the same thing! Definitely makes Stop & Go traffic much easier! I've now gotten a chance to drive it a bit I will be posting my final review soon.

I agree. Better throttle response down low and the usable band of power seems much wider. I've done intakes on literally every car I've owned and this one has def made the biggest improvement when isolated to a single part install. I didn't want to hijack @Sony's thread so I wrote a short review of my own. I didn't go crazy with detailed install pics as Sony and Perrin have already done that for us. I just basically stated the difference in feel and power while driving the car.

I did note in a different thread that the throttle feels "dead" for the first .25" of movement but the intake did clean that up a lot!! Its not perfect but its noticeably better. I'm sure the tune will totally solve the problem 100% now.

Lastly, growing up on dirt bikes and shifter karts, I'm used to shooting two or three blips or revs when the engine is still warming up as I release the clutch in first gear. Just a habit from warming up single cylinder motors and keeping the revs up a little until it reaches operating temps. When backing the car into the garage or pulling it out in the morning I used to do that with the BRZ and the first two, short, pedal blips wouldn't even register. The third would move the tach needle slightly but not enough to keep the revs up and release the clutch. Now after the cold start idle has dropped I can blip the throttle two or three short little revs as I release the clutch and the motor actually responds!! I don't like any play in the throttle and this was a big step in the right direction.

NOTE: After the car is warm, I drive it regularly but before installing the intake it would drop the revs so low that it would nearly stall... HUGE improvement!!

@Sony I think you used the baseline dyno pic for the CAI dyno.

Same date and power.

Better.

I'm not exactly a Perrin fan (thanks gmooker and chacha ) but it would be a disservice to everybody not to fix that.

Yea... unfortunately gmookher has given Perrin a bad rap on the forum. They make good stuff, and it's sad because gmookher wasn't even a Perrin rep or anything...he was just an a**hole who liked Perrin products...

I try not to be an jacka**...I hope I succeeded.

Even if others claim it to be easy to remove the front bumper, It still seems rather time consuming just to get to the filter for cleaning.
I'd rather another version that doesn't pass through the frame, and stops before it :-)
