sigh...

ok...the EJ20TT was actually not a very good motor in general despite the variations through the years. Many Legacy B4/GTB owners have converted to single turbo because the twins are just awful for that engine.

The problem with twin sequential turbos is that they peak to fast on the powerband and leave no room for spread.

If you consider doing a twin non-sequential turbo set up, a 2.0l 4 cylinder doesn't produce enough exhaust to spin a sized turbo efficiently. Resulting in retarded lag. Even more so on 2 banks 2 per cylinder like the EJ.

Sure you can put two turbos a 2.0 boxer engine...but a single turbo of any range will yeild better results.

On top of that, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION..there just might not be enough room for a twin turbo and pluming in the FRS or BRZ.

There are way to many issues besides compression that needs to be addressed before we can even consider an efficient twin turbo setup on the FA20.

So again...short answer...no.

^Dang, I was xmas shopping and WoW beat me to it.

But like WoW have said, EJ20DETT was POS it's a waste of even think bout.

IF you wanna do twin turbo FRS go for it. It's your car, you can do anything you want... BUT before thinking bout twin turboing this car, figure out HOW you can have enough $ to go to College & buy FRS.

Now, we're not trying to be jack-a... but you made a thread bout how you don't have $ to buy this car, cuz you gonna go to engineering university and so on. It's to early for you to think bout twin turboing this car

That was 18 years ago. There's a reason it hasn't been done again. The guys above me pretty much summed it all up.

Haha. Maybe if you overlooked the thread more in depth, I stated I could go to The University of Akron and my moms insurance can cover the tuition. I never stated I wanted to twin turbo the FR-S, I just wanted to here your guys thought on the possibility of it, but I'll guess i'll take delete the thread since no one cares...... And I applaud Woe for giving me a serious answer.

I think its funny that as the most highly tunable new car that his the room to shoe horn an ej 25 ie ken gushi's drift car. I wouldnt mind seeing a 2jz in it but would it have to be a lateral? Or could u, or would the car fit that engine straight to tranny without moving the firewall back or modifying it?

My plans involve a vvti ej25 stroked, or stroking the 2 litre better fuel system (injectors pumps and rail), oil system, haltech management, fbm turbo kit or a blouch system, tein coilovers with edfc, cusco 2way lsd, better axles, exedy clutch and flywheel, wilwood brake kit, rocketbunny aero kit w/o wing, enkei kojin wheels. Various other parts, bride seats, sparco wheel, rear seat removal, cusco 6pt roll cage, custom exhaust (cat delete straight pipe 2 and 3/4 back readjustment of 02 sensor bung), im thinking possibly 3 inch back but am curious about the affects on back pressure.
