Shift stick reverse is engaged not in the same setting as all 6speed Subaru models from the right bottom, but the top left.

ignition key hole might be on the left side of the steering column.

Wrong.

You can see the black spot where the ignition switch goes. This means the car has a wireless/proximity key, so the key has to be within a few feet of the steering wheel (in a pants pocket or purse, etc) and all you have to do is get in and push the start button.

I hear you. I have power but no cable or internet, this storm was insane. Most of Northern and Western CT are without power and will be for the next week.

Back on topic - these leaks just keep coming and coming. And they just had to go and make a gorgeous blue to make my decision that much harder! I really have no idea in what order, but mine will either be blue, red, or black. I'm probably going to have to look at them in person to really figure it out and even then it'll be tough.

As for the interior, I am so happy that they are making a somewhat upscale interior with the dual climate control. It's going to make me miss my luxury brands a lot less. I can't wait to get this car!

I hope this wireless start has an actual keyhole like the newer Miatas.

If I accidentally drop my keys in the pool and have to buy another $200 key. I'd be angry. lol With myself.

That's why they give you two key fobs when you take delivery of your car, because pools love them FT-86 key fobs!

How far away/the distance required to start the car with the proximity key? Thinking of the second top gear us trip when Jeremy Clarkson was able to get into Richard Hammonds Dodge Challenger and move the car because Richard was in reasonable close distance to his parked Dodge but yet unaware of what happened. This isnt a feature i would want in my next car, dodgy dubois people around here, potential theft opportunity.

I really don't suggest using Top Gear as a source for facts about the range of keyless ignition systems... particularly when it's used to make a joke.

Top Gear is a fantastic, hugely entertaining program. I've got all of the episodes on my hard drive. But they're not above making scripted jokes like this

dont be scared of the push button start, the toyota smart key is actually pretty smart, you can actually get in the car start it take the keys out with you and it will stay running, but wont go anywhere if someone gets into it. the key has to be very close for it to work, sometimes if its a couple feet away you actually have to briefly touch the key to the push button for it to go into gear or to start.

Yeah, two normal keys in case one is lost or stops working. Maybe a valet too that limits what it can open.
