Comparing the two photos RX-8 and FT-86 seem to have something in common, much like the wheel design as well as the console, the extension of the dashboard, pedals, air vents ... Toyota has copied something from the RX-8!?!? We do not know!

The boxer engine in the FT is only more expensive than the other Subaru motors cause of the Direct Injection.
The interior doesn't look "expensive" as several parts are from other vehicles.
The suspension design is straight from an impreza so its not expensive.

That's almost like saying they're both 4 wheel vehicles with RWD...

They can't be any further apart IMO, I mean the position of things are pretty much set in stone, you won't find the handbrake under the steering column like my truck, and clutch is always going to be the left pedal...

So no, I don't see that many similarities outside of what is normally expected from one car to another...

Did a quick perspective correction to compensate for the wide-angle lens. I think it gives a better perspective on sizes.

Anybody else notice the 86 logo in the covered steering wheel?

I did want steering-mounted controls =( I mean it barely adds any cost, doesn't hurt driving at all... why not.

That actually helps a lot with the sizing of things. Now the radio looks more like a two din, than the 1.5 din a few of us though it was. This looks like its gonna be a GREAT car!

Also, anyone notice the red center on the seats is gone...

The modellista brochure showed one with red seats and one with black seats.

Ah, thanks to the non-widelens perspective, it makes it look more enjoyable to sit in without that thing poking at you.

The headrest is still angled forward a bit, could still be annoying with a racing Helmet on.
Hopefully it's adjustable.
