Quick vid of new Nameless Offset revised system
This new system has mandrel bends & some other minor tweaks (I'm sure Jason can chime in).
The car is still up in the air, as I have other mods in process, so no driving impressions, yet. I will say that it's quiet @ idle (music for my old ears) & sounds very crisp & clean on rev-up, and not too loud then, either--I'm very pleased so far! Saved approx ~5 lbs for the axle-back. I'm hopeful that it will still be relatively quiet when the whole system is in (Header, overpipe & HF cat) @ idle/cruise. Will post that clip as well when all are installed. Thx to Sportsguy for the recommendation. Sorry for the terrible quality--forgot I had my phone set on low res. http://www.flickr.com/photos/57782397@N04/8395677736/ |

Quick update: I got my car back on the road & have been evaluating the system.
It's pleasantly quiet @ cruise--I'm so thankful & hope(!) it maintains most of that w/ the rest of the exhaust pieces planned. Very nice, non-obnoxious tone when getting on it. Sounds sporty--pleased. Only 1 concern so far: it rattles a bit when stationary & just as car begins to move (forward & reverse). I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I ordered the stiffer hanger grommets? Overall, very satisfied so far... |

What do the offset mufflers mean? I was always curious what they mean by this.

Pipe enters the muffler offset from center and exits the muffler offset from center.

I don't know if they should take all the blame but the stiffer hangers at the minimum contribute.

Sounds pretty sweet, but too quiet for my taste. I love loud. Good to see Nameless has so many options with a single exhaust to match customer taste without sacrificing performance. Very top notch quality system. Can't wait to get their 3" system when they are done testing!

![]() The V1 from FT-86 Speedfactory is a really good choice. You can get an overpipe/frontpipe combo with FT-86 Speedfactory to match the V1 and they'll help you do it easily for a great price. I highly recommend working with them as their customer service is top notch. I put this second on my list behind Nameless simply because I was already committed to Nameless' revised system they are working on. Nameless offers a much lighter solution (Unless you go with the revised axleback which is a bit heavier, but 2.5" tubing with a 3" inlet, 21 lbs vs 16 lbs) still lighter than stock either way. Jason is working on a mid-pipe solution now to see if the axleback produces 7 ft lbs of torque with the 2.5" or 3" midpipe as their new quad muffler system did. I'm definitely a fan of their overpipe/downpipe combo simply because it's not "bendy" like the original OP's. I see less restriction in it (catted of course) and the biggest gains in the exhaust are from the header to that downpipe, or frontpipe. They put a lot of effort into testing and revising items. If you're patient and enjoy watching the research and development of their products, I highly recommend Nameless. Jason and Ryan both are very helpful and knowledgeable. Just my .02 cents. Hopefully I didn't make your decision harder. Either way, FT-86 Speedfactory or Nameless, you really cannot go wrong. Both companies are way up there in respect and service. Perrin has outstanding service as well. All 3 top companies. |
