It includes everything as originally - turbo kit, fmic, mechanical oil pump, all hoses, fittings, and other pieces for the full bolt on. A stage 1 base map is included. The only difference is that ceramic coating of the exhaust manifold, the turbocharger, and the turbo discharge pipe is now included.

On the Stage 1 kit, no. It's designed for 5~7psi of operation, well within the threshold of the stock MAP sensor.

There is no such thing as a .5 bar map sensor, we had that discussion with EcuTek already. So instead, you've got either a 1.5 bar or 2 bar MAP sensor - and this stock one is the same part number as a turbo FA20 MAP sensor.

Again it's not a good idea to be sending basemaps that don't include a boost cut. It's impossible to have a useful boost cut with the factory map sensor .. John |

How does EcuTek execute a boost cut solely through software?

And if you wanted to get technical the stock map sensor won't read past .36 bar of boost based on what the ECUTek logs read. Again, this was designed as a NA car to begin with so why would Suby & Scion put anything more than they need to in the first place? ![]() Right, in the custom racerom map, there's no "boost cut" limiter in the traditional sense but you can have several activation channels to retain a "safe" condition. But I'm sure you already knew that. So were you leading into a point or trying to make one since I believe they did mention it's just a base map that they supply and that they recommend customers to go to tuners to have it tuned for the fuel in their locale... OR were you trying to say you're the only one that can provide for safety in all things FI? Not quite sure what you were getting at here. Regards, Bob @ Drift-Office, LLC |

Those questions include map sensor questions... It's a good a valid question... I think this is a good kit at a good price point but customers need to know if they're going to need additional hardware. But clearly AVOWORLD and my self disagree of what the factory map sensor is good for, unless I misunderstood. No I don't think I'm the only person that can tune* forced induction, many other vendors on here have proved that including AVO. This wasn't meant to out anyone just real simply friendly questions. Btw you only need one custom map for a safe boot cut. So I don't want to drag this on but the factory map sensor is good for 4-5 psi at best, this kit or any kit should include a map sensor so a boost cut can be out in and the the customer can always datalog boost pressure. Can you do with out it? I guess.. But at least inform them so it's not a after thought John |

I have a gauge that will flash if I go over my boost threshold or control something when that happens. I can log my boost just fine with it. I would agree that anyone installing this kit should definitely at least have a boost gauge to ensure they are getting the 5 psi they are supposed to and no more or less.
