I hear Hamza is good, but I only know Kevin from my own experience and he is amazing. He's been doing it for years and is well known on many other car forums for his extensive knowledge of detailing cars (see e90 and g35driver forums for huge write ups by him on almost anything related to detailing your car).
He also has a dedicated shop, so dropping by in the dead cold of winter isn't an issue for him. I believe Hamza is only mobile (but has access to shops in the east and west ends of Toronto).

I was in there last Friday to get a paint chip repaired and I saw your car. Looked really good. How do you like the JDM tips? Also saw you had winter tires on it. Nice to see so many guys driving it year round.

He opticoated the winter rims as well! lol I figured I wanted less salt to stick and have the easier to clean (even though they are winter steelies).

I asked him if the opticoat would keep the brake dust from eating into the rim and he wasn't sure but figured it probably slows down the process but doesn't stop it. Hard to say cause opticoat is supposed to stop bird-shit from eating into your paint and it's the same sort of acidic problem. He did say that he's never seen an opticoated rim have pitting so it may very well protect them from the acidic effects.

Most of the Opti-Coat/Guard guys will do your wheels as well. headlights/tail lights, plastic trim, glass can also be done on request usually. I've even seen Opti-Coat on exhaust tips.
I've said it like 30x but for Opti-Coat most of the guys in GTA have positive reviews. I don't think I've heard anyone talk bad about anyone. Depending on where you are located there are different detailers that can do it for you. Here are a few detailers I recommend and know of who do Opti-Coat. For East End Hamza @ Elevated Auto Care http://www.getdetailed.ca/ Alex or boredstudent3 @ Attentiv to Detailz For West End Bryan @ Concours Touch http://concourstouch.com/ Kevin @ GTAinDetail http://gtaindetail.com For Central Toronto and Scarborough Wes_R @ Orion Detailing http://oriondetailing.co/ I am sure there are more but I don't know of them. |
