And really, you're only going to have a remote chance to escape if there's not someone in front of you.

The sun WILL give you cancer, it's just a matter of time.

Don't even get me started on the indoors-- allergens, dander, asbestos, bed bugs! The safest thing to do is to subject yourself to an iffy science experiment so you can get super powers. Dr.Manhattan doesn't worry about pulmonary carcinoma.

Haha! I guess any possibility of immortality, no matter how life-threatening, is still safer than the inevitable reality that is mortality... Other natural occurences like being hit by an asteroid could yield surprising results, though, however unlikely... ha ha

Ooh, i never thought about that-- getting hit by an asteroid could likely get you some pretty wicked super powers.

Come on Guys, Girls, Hermaphrodites, Unicorns and anything in-between we are meant to be the FRS, BRZ, 86 family.

We all go onto this forum to get info on our beloved vehicle of choice and meet like minded people, organise meets, get technical info, keep informed on new goodies that come available for our cars, chat in off topic areas, buy sell etc..

If we all start burning each other in threads this forum will die and or will be taken over by people that we do not want to associate with. There will always be people you do not like, agree with or damn right can't stand but we need to work around this to keep the Forum strong :happy0180:.

But if @ravenblackfrs wants to look at his phone while in a stationary position or if he was moving in his FRS then that is his choice weather you agree or not with his actions or the circumstances of the event then so be it but we do not need to bash the guy up.

if @ravenblackfrs had said that he was playing with his GPS entering in a new location would he have caught the flack he has? changing a CD/playlist? There are distractions all around when you are a motorist and it is up to you as the driver to determine what you will do, weather be distracted or not and to think how will my choice affect others.

And @ravenblackfrs maybe next time you start a thread maybe have a read first so there is no way that it will turn nasty and bite you in the ass like this has in some replies, we do not know if someone here has lost a loved one by a motorist on a phone, drunk driver etc.. so be aware it is a very touchy subject

I understand that you were trying to make a point that you love this Forum and I am glad to hear that I too love this and the people that are on here seem genuine and damn good people

Thanks All

Monkie

Wow, this thread got out of hand. I'd like to say that in my initial post, I was not trying to be a ****, condescending, or whatever.

I was just saying that driving requires your full attention, and you need to be careful. There have been enough FR-S/BRZ accidents as a result of carelessness, so please don't contribute to the statistic. Checking your phone while at a long light isn't the worst thing in the world, but it isn't the best either.

I hope you continue to enjoy this site as you have stated in your OP, as many of us do. At the end of the day, we are all FT86 owners and we need to look out for each other. :happy0180:
