I can't stand the smell of smoke! My brother smoked all the time in his truck and it got to the point where I wouldn't even ride in it. The worst experience you can have with the smell is if you do Jiu Jitsu and the guy your rolling with reeks of cig smoke. I almost threw up by the time the round was over

Hello, my name is Travis and I'm an alcoholic. Jk. One night I had to grab something out of my car while smoking, windows down for a few hours and I could smell it in the car the next day. I don't even let people stand near my car while smoking and you shouldn't either.

I agree with smoking while driving being one of the favored times. When I was driving the BRZ more (summer), I cut back a lot. Now that I've been driving the Legacy a lot (winter), I'm back to smoking more often. Can't wait for spring for numerous reasons!

I know people who use this and similar product, and it works fairly well. For me, it's more the principle of it, I almost feel like I'm insulting the car by smoking in it. That, and the spray doesn't eliminate potential burns, vacuuming ash, and yellowing windows.

I smoked for 10+ years. When I bought my S2000 I said I would never smoke it in. So what did I do? I put the top down, that way I was more "on it" then "in it" and thus I could rationalize smoking in (er I mean on) my S2000.

I say.. Smoke in the car. Be a smoker, commit. It's your car, light up. You can always steam clean the interior and soak it in febreeze when you go to sell.

Edit: I might want to add that the more favorable solution is to just stop smoking.

LOL. I found your comment thoroughly entertaining, but I will stand by my vow to never smoke in the BRZ.

I'm a smoker...picked up the car in June and haven't smoked in it yet. Same goes for the Mustang. 5 years in, and I haven't had one it it either. Any time the thought enters my head, I think about how gutted I'd feel if I accidently burned a hole in the seat or carpet.

Not that I plan on buying a used BRZ/FR-S in the future, but I'm sure many people who will will thank you guys for not smoking in your cars. Very noble of you!

The second car I ever sold was a brand new 2012 Audi A6; the owner traded in a Porsche Boxster S and immediately lit up a cigarette as he was leaving the parking lot with his brand new car. I cringed. We couldn't re-sell his otherwise very nice Boxster at our dealership because it just reeked of smoke and there was ash everywhere. Shame.

My MR2 was smoked in at one point and there's a burn mark on the headliner and a couple small marks on the driver's door panel and driver's seat. The smell is gone but the damage is permanent, and it's impossible to find a clean hardtop headliner

I feel bad... I accidentally "christened" a BRZ in the showroom. I farted in what will be someone's brand new car. I couldn't hold it! Hey, at least I didn't take it out on a test drive and bang it off the rev limiter?

Purely out of curiosity, has anyone else done this or have any stories to share?
How about you vow never to smoke a cigarette while standing on two feet? I bet you'd quit fast.

Edit: Better yet. Vow never to smoke a cigarette unless you have lit it with a fire that you made using two sticks of wood and some cotton fluff.

I have smoked in my FR-S in the past but only on long trips I try not to if possible.
