Depending on the way this is all implemented, someone that can work in XML and someone that can code for Python, might be good as well. The idea you have listed above is cool, but its just about as short sighted as any of the other Android Headunits. There is just no way to make this work with any android phone. The head unit would need to be a custom build or custom connection plate per device. Upgrade your phone and all of a sudden your headunit is worthless until the OEM makes a custom connection plate for our device. My idea gets around that issue and is vastly cheaper than buying a new phone or new head unit. |

You can also get funds for it on sites like kickstarter.com that lets you crowd source funds for projects that people are interested in. Check some of them out, I see some dumb ideas getting tons of money. I would donate to the cause. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 |

You can't start a kickstarter until you have a working demo of the unit you want to make. At least, that's what I was told.

You might want to toss the idea around places like dreamincode.com.
Also, why python? I've got a little experience in java and c++ but never considered python because I've always heard its not especially useful in the real world. |

The software is an entirely different problem, though it would not be hard to get a mockup UI running on the device, similar to what I created with the BMW theme. If you want to discuss it further, I have an NDA I can send you. Just hit me up in PM. |

Hi, Newbie here......a few questions if i may and some advice from the knowledgable on this site.
I'm on the fence with some devices to buy...my first choice would be the knockoff ca-fi unit. Second and third choices are below......i wonder how durable the motorized screen would be, And the overall performance of the tablet on the other unit. any experience with any of these would be appreciated. Also, i know i have a different make and model as this forum, but i intend on installing these units in a 2005 Jeep grand cherokee....stock 2 din nav in the car right now. would i have any clearance problems? I also have sirius xm in the car...any way to adapt sirius into these units? this is my first aftermarket swap. Thanks guys. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hot-2-Din-Ca...ce99a8&vxp=mtr OR: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Erisin-es777...item5651bc7946 |

Give me a couple weeks and I will have a review of another unit (if it's worthy) and it runs a dual core with android 4.0
