If your spring selection, geometry and track width are properly chosen, it won't.

I hope they put that magnetic liquid suspension on it from as smooth as a Cadillac to rock solid track ready at the press of a button. It made the ctsv go from granny wagon to respectable sports car. And good luck finding a Ferrari without it. GM has good engineers that can make stuff like this corporate needs to let them loose to make a great car.

I read something about them selling an old model of it to China but not the whole idea the new GM cars are going to have it from what I've seen from the Detroit auto show

It'd be great if that car actually came.
Judging from GM's policy from the last years it'd most likely be twice as expensive and half as good as the Toyobaru BUT having competition will make things interesting for buyers as they have a grounds for bargaining.

lol whatever, it's only semiactive so it doesn't give me an engineer's wet dream the way active hydraulic suspension does. Honda has the same semi-active damping stuff.

IMO if you're going through the trouble of rigging up electromagnets to the shock towers just to change damping, might as well go the McLaren route and simplify suspension via active roll control. Pretty sure if you get rid of the ride stiffness adjustment you can reduce the hydraulic power requirements.

Funny how Chinese people like VW and GM stuff, on a side note. 2 of the least reliable automakers yea? I bet the licensed Toyota drivetrains in their domestic makes are more reliable lol.

Man, GM designers are out to fucking lunch...first the C7 corvette that looks like a Camaro mated with a 599, and had a slightly retarded offspring. Then they shoot themselves in the foot with this ugly ass design. Seriously, I get the brand recognition thing and cars of the same marque having similar design cues, but picking the Camaro as your source of identity is laughable...retro-cool cars died in the early 2000's.

Ford on the other hand is looking promising with their designs, I'm not a fan of the new Fusion, but it is way better than any other American manufacturer as far as econo boxes are concerned.

It's nice that they want to compete with the FRS/BRZ, but as far as i can tell the only people that would consider that car would be GM fans that have some sort of need to own GM products.

The fact that the GM guy thinks that Toyota an Subaru aren't making money also shows how out of touch GM is with its rivals, and gives me even less faith that they will execute well.
