Money is no object to the extreme, I would buy an exotic as well. Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari 458 Italia/F12 Berlinetta, Audi R8 GT would top my list.

Obviously a power bump of about 60HP with a supercharger that would put it at 210whp then add a intake + exhaust which net around (from what ive seen) about a 12hp gain then a throttle body, light pully/fly wheel for acceleration/torque and weight. Thats a comfortable 222bwhp for me and a monster of a track car. I dont think the FRS needs sways and if I did it would be the front for more oversteer. But the BRZ needs them in both rear/front for sure. On top of that I would add wider tires in the rear to balance the power to weight ratio for grip. I dont think CF for a car like this would make that much of a different due to the weight. Im also looking into a good rear seat delete just worried about rattles. Clear turn signals would be fine, and ofcourse if I do go through with the BRZ on GBS BBS wheels would look greaaaaat. Oh and I forgot 600cc fuel injectors for bragging rights and ofcourse, headers. Not sure what I want to do with the gear ratios yet, from what I drove I like them as is, but they may need to change to a more conservative feel from what I listed above. OH OH! AND COILOVERS FOR EVEN LOWER COG!

What do you all think?

(Saving up so I can buy the car and afford all these mods. Its my todo list )

the perfect FRS...

one that I can buy and not give a fuck about

would love to have one as a missile car

put a turbo on it, some deep dishies, slam it

and slide it into concrete walls @ 60 mph

sadly I have to still pay my car off, and it is too nice to abuse that way.

I still say the premium sport concept with a nice supercharger kit would be the ultimate dd. I'm in love with that concept although my other build mentioned earlier would end up being a 60k brz.

To be honest, now that i think of it, the perfect FR-S is exactly as it comes stock...I was thinking about this as i was destroying my oil pan trying to take it off so i could put my new one on. A car is only as perfect as you make it for yourself and i feel like so many people get lost in the idea that this car needs more of some such thing like power or suspension or a better interior. the thing is that everyone has a different idea of what perfect is...so the perfect car is a car that you can easily make into what you want.

The aftermarket and support for this car is tremendous and is growing exponentially so soon you will have so many possibilities of upgrades that no two cars will ever be the same...this is what makes a car perfect in my eyes. I had the opportunity to buy one of the greatest cars on the road, a 2009 Nissan GT-R and decided on the FR-S instead because i knew I would be able to spend the money I had for the GT-R to make my FR-S exactly the way I want it...and in the process learn this car inside and out. Sure I could have done the same to the GT-R but the price of admission is way more expensive...and if you thought parts for the FR-S were expensive, just look at parts for the GT-R, it will give you a new sense of how affordable the FR-S is.

Lol, thats the reason for the thread. What would make "YOUR" perfect frs/brz.

Stock with more power... not much, stay 50hp.... Spoiler, fog lamps, exhaust...better tunes, sub with indash 7" screen... thats about it. If it takes a s/c to get 50 hp then throw it on and let me go. I don't track my car. Its a weekend warrior. Or when I'm going out of town with the ol lady. Other than that, it sits in the driveway with a cover over it.

Some guys mention rear seat deletes and staggering and rebuilding engines... shit, thats all a bit extreme to me. I just want more get up, but for the thrill. Not to track and run "miata" lines and all that other stuff...lol

Yeah I know it's what you make of it. I will have this car finished this year so i can start my next car. This car is kind of like my guilty pleasure, it's taken 16 years for me to have a job that pays me enough to actually build a car like this so I'm indulging my childhood dreams of building cars...doesn't hurt being single with no kids

THis will be my 1st new car, and DD until the future kids get too big for the rear seats... but Im really interested in recreating it as an old school roadster, more GT 2000 successor than AE86.

Soooo, waiting for the convertible, assuming as Toyota have stated their new technology making the doors stressed members can minimise the weight penalty. If they offer this in the stripped down version I will take it and work up, if not

Strip out AC and fit heated seats. Only concern is windshield fogging- not sure if sound tube could be modified to allow hot air from engine bay out of top dash vents?
Replace electric windows with normal
Maybe power steering delete if significant added lightness and the Mrs isnt using car- has it been done yet?
Battery and alternator pulley as small/light as possible with decreased power draw
Lightweight front bumper bar.
Quality sound system
Plush leather trim in body colour, most likely Ultramarine

Personally not a fan of modern Japanese styling with its funny angles all over the place- for me, RX7>RX8. Replace front end with 86x style cb. Who says its for girls?!

Not a fan of the rear of this kit tho, hope there is one with more conventional exhaust. Is there potential to stretch the boot further back to make space for folding roof, or would that need new crash testing?
I realise I may be alone on this but if anyone else is interested in the possibilities of this style going into production might be interesting to see a new thread?

Anyway comsmetics aside, over the next few years add ecu tune, intake and exhaust mods as my ability improves, suspension mods after a few track days so can match my style- most probably to induce oversteer : )
Culminating in the most reliable twin screw/scroll supercharger, grippy tyres at the rear and upgraded clutch, and that'd be my modern classic roadster!
