I have plenty of respect for my car.

I think that storing it and driving it both respect the cars in different ways.

Wow...That's...crazy. My miles have come from a 110 round trip commute to work + a bunch of 1000+ mile drive trips for work. I'd assume maybe he's a sales guy, or traveling tech of some sort?

You also don't live in Calgary! Jesus, the gravel they put down here...

I'm at 299km since November. *embarrassed*

I work 2 miles from home and I usually take the "long" way home.. but because of this thread, instead of driving around town once, I'll do it 3X when I get off work today haha

Ahh...I hadn't thought about areas that lay down heavy sand. We're used to salt here which means our roads are usually clear a day or two after a heavy storm, and then we just have salt dust to contend with.

considering you just got the car (it's fun and you want to drive it a lot) and the average most people drive any car, that sounds about right.

Took me about 3 weeks to get to 1k, and I'm sitting at 5400 now. Got the car in august.

So how has the car held up in terms of reliability? Any outstanding issues?

Wow you guys rock. This thread regardless of how insignificant made my night haha. Its between this and the "previous toy" thread. Seeing people with lambos and some of stuttgarts finest buy one for the sheer joy is awesome. I was paranoid until someone backed into me hard (still dealing w insurance...and my own mental state haha) and it settled in the car is only new once and I should (and do) enjoy every moment I drive in it. I have no regret. Even the AT is becoming a good friend... even if I do tap the gas with my foot and go for a clutch sometimes on downshifts... I have my miata for all that. I intend to keep my car until either its financially impossible or it becomes my future child's first car- if they love it like me.

Sadly, it'll take me years to put 25k on my car. My commute to work is 6 miles. All the weekend errands are within the same. We really don't have any "fun" roads around here to just go out and drive. The only saving grace is the family that we visit often (120m miles away and 230 miles away). But even then, we usually take the Impreza.

How did you put so many miles on your car? Do yo commute to Florida or something? :P
