For me, it's weight reduction. It's cheap and can really help with pep and handling. I strip everything behind the front seats and swap to a Braille Lithium Ion battery. After that, i'd hit the wheels and tires and then look into a couple bolt ons for the engine to add a couple more HP and MPG. Full brake upgrades would soon follow.

I did/am doing the following..
1. Intake (~250) 2. Cosmetic (HID kit, LED side markers, trunk lights etc etc) ~90 3. Tint (175) 4. Detail and Opticoat (<400) 5. Arm rest lol (70) 6. Exhaust (700) 7. Finally tune. (700) maybe a little over budget. |

Do it, Road America is on my list of tracks to drive before I die. Lots of fast sweepers, you'll get a fantastic feel for steady state cornering dynamics and modulating the throttle.
I should clarify that I have no idea about their policies, but I'm sure they have a calendar with dates selected for track days and such. |

![]() I'll have to take a week off work though, it's a 2,200+ mile drive for me. Good to know though, if I decide to go tomorrow, by the time I get there my break in period will be over!

Driving school and an exhaust
![]() I plan to take some sort of lessons once I have a bit saved up. ![]() I want an exhaust + drop in filter and tint as my only mods until I get better at driving. Tint because I had it on my last car and swore I'd never have a car without it again. Exhaust and drop in filter for fun and sound factor. Nathan |

How sweet would that be to have like a dozen fr-s/brz's at the same track day. I drove my car from El Paso to home. It was about 1400 miles. Surprisingly comfortable for sport suspension and seats. Btw, is the stock air filter really restrictive enough to warrent a replacement? I don't like the idea of using an oiled filter with a MAF setup. Oil on the resistors and all...

First, yes. Second, unless you're an absolute idiot and pour a whole bottle of the cleaning oil on the filter you won't have an issue. If you're really nervous about it just get a dry element, they're generally cheaper anyway. Hell the HKS panel filter is like 40 bucks. That's less expensive than a night at a strip club and you'll have a lot less regret afterward too.

Have had the visconti tune on for over 15, 000 miles now and is the best thing you can do to the car. Its completely different in a good way. I have it lowered but tires are probably the next thing im getting.
