Exterior:
With the body kit the shape of the car looks kinda off...I think the sti spoiler is needed to complete it. I will say that the new bumper caps look great. The ones that were are the test mule were garbage and looked really out of place with the rear diffuser. These look like they were designed to flow with the shape of the diffuser. Led's back in the head lights. Not that I really care about led's but I think this design was better than the other one.

Interior:
I'm pretty happy with the interior. Digital temp controls, what looks like a double din section for the stereo is positioned perfectly so I can swap in a gps system. It's pretty much as high as it can be so I don't have to take my eyes far away from the road to see where I need to go! I don't see a place for storage in the center hand rest. Lack of storage in a car this small is make or break for me. I don't care where the extra storage is but the glove compartment can NOT be the only thing they give us. Also the gauges. I like the layout...and the general design. But the tach can NOT be white when it comes to the us. sorry it just looks tacky! Choose a color and stick with it.

Overall I'm getting really excited for this car now!

Edit: Oh yeah wheels... they managed to find wheels worse than the mkII's

i like the overall look, but does anyone else think that the taillights look horrible? i especially hate how they made the taillights white. i hope the production model will have simple red tails, instead of white one. i also don't like how the headlights became more round when before they were far more aggressive looking. but again, not bad! i guess i was jus expecting perfection...

Some small things I've noticed:

-Someone mentioned the Auto had 3 buttons below the shifter where the manual only has 2 - WRONG - Look at the red circles and the distance away from the shifter in the close-up photo. The auto has 3 buttons DIRECTLY back from the shifter. Now look in the big photo - it's hard to make out, but the manual also has 3 (very faint) buttons DIRECTLY below the shifter. The two buttons in yellow are too far away from the shifter to be in the close-up picture of the Auto shifter, though you can see the indent just above the buttons.

- Blue circle: 12V Accessory charger? Good place IMO - in a good place to leave your phone, etc. charging in the little "hole" there.

- White circle on drivers door window controls - We know the two bottom buttons are for the windows (from GR car pictures), the two above them are window and door locks, and the one above and to the right of those are the mirror adjusters. My guess for the button to the left of the mirror adjusters (the one circled) - Folding mirror switch!.

Overall I'm very pleased with the interior of this car, it looks very good for the price!!

nice observations. i always thought those 2 buttons in between the seats look suspiciously like heated seat switches. for a car touted as "back to basics", and "devoid of electronic intervention", it sure has a lot of buttons...

perhaps in japan there is a "luxury" version?

On the driver's side door, the mirror controls is only one knob. The one circled isn't a switch to select mirror--you select mirrors by rotating the knob (common in Fords). Hence that circled mirror is something different. Could be mirror folding, but that'd be a moot point for US since we usually don't get folding mirrors.

Devoid from electronic intervention says to me that there's no electronics between me and the road (abs, tcs, scs). Bring on all of the luxurious gizmos that add no weight or complexity as you can please

I'm with everyone that this looks good but where is this sourced from? and why is everyone thinking its credible? i like how close it is to the mule but why is everyone thinking that it is not photo shopped?

look at the picture of the auto shifter.. you really think that its only black beyond it, you should see something. and it looks to me like there's a blemish on the cap of the auto shift knob.

also the quote from ichitaka that has no follow up.. "was chatting" is past tense

love the buzz but i think we have to wait to really see something "real"

I'm not liking the placement of the engine start/stop button. Other than that everything seems pretty good.

Exactly. You rotate the knob clockwise or anti-clockwise to select which mirror you're moving, then you push the knob in the direction you want it to move.

Also, about the folding mirrors for the US - maybe why the GR version didn't have it? The GR only had the mirror adjuster, and had a space for what I think it is the folding mirror switch.

I don't think so... look at the distance from the auto shifter to the buttons.. it's about 2-3cm (~1 inch) from the edge of the shifter surround where the shift boot clips in. The double-buttons in the yellow circle are more like 8-12cm (3-4 inches) away from the shift boot, there is no way they are the same buttons!

Because it looks legit? Who's going to go and photoshop a whole Modelista brochure?

Edit: btw, I (and many others here) do a bit of photoshopping. I can't see anything that looks photoshopped AT ALL in these pictures..

You can be skeptical if you want, but Ichi has some very VERY credible sources. You can take it with a grain of salt if you wish. You're new here so anything that's posted may seem fake to you when you don't know the members who've been here the longest. I'm not knocking you on the ground or anything but, there are some members here who have found/received information that did end up showing up as official news couple weeks later.

Like said.. No one is going to force you to believe that this info is true.
