You're the only one. It's really that simple!

Jack - silly question... Will the drag-and-drop software work with MAC? I have a macbook air that would be awesome to use for map uploading.
I still have a dip on my BRZ AT. However, what tune did you load and what's your bolt-on's setup?

The SW runs in a Windows OS so it won't run in a MAC, sorry.

ScionFrsFan - shoot Aaron an email and he'll be happy to help you with any issues you're having getting the SW to extract correctly.

Cheers

FYI - Downloaded additional maps. Reprogrammed them in. Tried out the timing in/out. Definitely a difference and a more assortment to play around with.

This makes me happy.

I believe the idle just has to be raised. Mine is set at 850 with my ecutek Tune.

ScionFrsFan - No the car doesn't have to be on at all... the MapsQ cable provides all the power the Unichip needs for reprogramming.

Cheers

Hey jack,

Just got the cables. If I am increasing the timing do I run into any issues if harming the engine? From from I have read, as long as I don't pop any codes I'm good right?

Correct... the car won't let you hurt it. If the extra timing doesn't cause a flashing CEL then the OE ECU is happy with the extra timing. If you get a flashing CEL, you need to either run less timing or up the fuel octane.

As the installation instructions point out, more isn't necessarily better. Even if the OE ECU is happy, if the car isn't any quicker - do some Flux2 0-60 runs both ways - then just run the lower ignition timing map.

Cheers

on a side note, has everyone had the chance to see the flux2 in action? I'm thinking about taking a crappy cell phone video, since on my last attempt, I couldn't get my gopro footage to be edited down enough to post.

Would anyone be interested in seeing a few features on the flux2?

Just thought I'd put my two cents in here on what I can attest to(car was hit by drunk driver the day before the Unichip showed up).

Tonight I hooked it up to the computer and downloaded some custom maps. Was a painless procedure, and I look forward of the stuff that comes out in the future and more ways we can tweak things. I have Windows 7, so I think that makes it a little easier to set-up. I like that I can pull it off the car, carry it in the house and make my changes, and go back out and plug it in. And, given my recent history, pull the whole thing out so there are no dealership issues (even though I think my dealership would be cool with it).

Now, when I get it back in mid-February I have something to look forward to. Maybe by then we'll have the mounting piece for the engine bay.

It should work. In my experience with W8, everything that works on 7 is compatible with 8, it was designed with that specifically in mind. That being said, email the guys at UniChip to confirm.

Crap dude... I'm sorry. The curse continues.... Mine is getting dropped off at the body shop either Friday, or early next week. Heartbreaking. If you're in a place that allows, be sure to file a diminished value claim! (assuming the insurance of the drunk fool is paying for it.) I'm going to be working on mine as soon as I get my car back, I have a thread started, and I'm totally new to the whole thing, but if I learn something I'd love to help.

Is it possible to get a map for fully decat cars (secondary O2 sensor turned off basically) with this system?
