be6sti cheaterrrrrr that's the equivalent of insider trading :p The AEM looks awesome and, at least from the video, doesn't seem to add a whole lot more noise. I'm psyched to see if the dyno results back it up. And that Buddy Club exhaust does sound amazing...it's honestly too bad this car didn't come with a single exhaust stock so that we could run single exhausts and make more power and be happy and not have a gaping hole in the bumper... /rant

You can't see the hole from the drivers seat.

It is loud though, for a DD no go. For a track car.... YES! It reminds me of the Invidia N1 in some ways, just x5 in noise.

Anyone had a chance to see how well AEM's MAF trickery plays with reflashed ECU's? @Visconti? @FA20Club.com?

Anytime you add a new part to the engine like an intake or an exhaust you should always get re-tuned if you have a tune already.

This will work just fine on a stock car with no tune.

Now I'm even more excited for mine! Should be coming in today after a small delay, but Jeremy got it all settled. FT-86 SpeedFactory is the best.

Excited to see the dyno results. I installed mine a couple weeks ago. It really comes to life when I'm on the backroads in the higher rpm range. Very happy with the purchase and I received my system fast after I ordered.

Now to install my sway bars and front lip/side skirts...I need to stop traveling so much!

If you have ecutek tune and are going to get retunned with AEM intake, do you need to still use the MAF converter AEM provides?

We don't have a definitive answer on that right now. I am assuming you will still run the ETI module when you tune for the intake.

AEM states that the turbulence and extra air from the larger diameter tubing creates a lot of "noise" for the MAF sensor. The ETI module filters out that noise and allows the ECU to see a clean reading from the MAF sensor.

So, even with a tune, I believe you would want the cleanest signal from the MAF being sent back to the ECU.

Our Firestorm car is due for a tune here as we prepare it for our STX autocross class build, so we will be sending logs over to @FA20Club.com and we'll report back his findings.

Cheers!:happy0180:
