Definitely something to consider. I haven't dived deep enough into the knowledge of either. That's something I'll have to research extensively especially since the FR-S is my DD. Last thing I want to introduce is problems due to a turbo or SC, but I definitely wouldn't run a dangerous amount of boost.

Even then the current axle back will probably offer no restriction if you go 3" over and down pipe with a HF cat then 3" or 2.5" for the centre pipe with a resonator.

I can barely hear mine cruising at 100 - 120kph in 6th but on cruise at 80kph around 2000rpm it's very noticeable as it throttles up for inclines. I threw a bed quilt in the boot and that helped. I was thinking of unbolting the heatshield above it and refitting it with some fibreglass roof insulation sandwiched above it? It's not unpleasant but needs to be a bit quieter in that range.
How is yours in that situation?

Let me ask you, did you install only Axleback?

Yes. I'm still waiting for the overpipe from FA20 club to arrive, then I can fit the Nameless downpipe with HF cat.

Back in an hour.

Installed my offset axleback today. With all of the people who said they were loud I was shocked.. it's quieter than I expected by quite a margin.. I see how it is over a few more days of use.

I thought the Nameless Downpipe connected to the header? Unless there's an alternate way to do it with an overpipe as well? Otherwise, I'm just thinking of the factory fit pipe.

Because there was some people (ahem... including me) who replacing the frontpipe left the donut gasjet on the OEM pipe and it sounded super loud at certain RPM's. But just the Axleback should not sound very loud. There are certain specific RPM's where there is more sound, but it really shouldn't feel too loud.

The factory fit pipe only replaces the frontpipe, it leaves the overpipe stock. RHD cars (like @sierra's) cannot fit Nameless Overpipe/Downpipe combo because Nameless changes the overpipe routing for LHD cars that do not have to deal with steering column in that location.

I remember you saying that and hope I still remember when I fit it.

The only sound before was from the induction and that combined with the sound from out the back is magical. It's just a bit disproportionate at 2000rpm in 6th with a bit of throttle wound on, as the cruise will do up a hill. Not much from the induction but a bit from the exhaust. I would imagine the offset is perfect if it balances that out.

I'm hoping this overpipe from the FA20 club that they say fits both L and RHD does fit because it would be a pain to drop it down and trap it or have it touching and have to remove it again.
It might be that the Nameless one fits? I bet no one has tried it?

I think it probably won't, because they rerouted the overpipe to take space where RHD cars have the steering column.

I can't imagine how the 'one size fits all' works then?

Because the one size fits all only replaces the downpipe, leaving the stock overpipe. The downpipe does not interfere with the steering column. The High Flow Cat is located in the downpipe (Perrin calls the downpipe the Frontpipe).

This is the overpipe i'm talking about. That fits to the header and runs over the top before the downpipe with the cat. Both Perrin and FA20 club have an overpipe that they claim fits both LHD and RHD which is what I meant when I said one size fits all. AVO might have 2 different versions?

http://www.fa20club.com/product.php?...cat=302&page=1

Here's what they said in the email when I questioned the fit.

I notice the Perrin overpipe was made to fit both LHD and RHD manuals.
Will your overpipe fit my RHD manual and is it OEM fittings at each end?

im sure it will fit both LHD & RHD models. yes flanges are designed to
fit all the oem connections. freight will be $60.00usd to AUS

I mentioned that because Nameless said theirs is LHD specific because
the steering column is close on the RHD. So I was surprised the Perrin
fitted both.
I have a Nameless cat back and down pipe with HF cat.

It had better fit after all that.
