They said that an attempt was made for delivery on 12/15, but it was sent back by USPS. They sent it out again the next day by UPS and got here in reasonable time. I was a little worried, but they kept email contact throughout the time.

I received and installed mine without any issues. So far, no problems at all.

I know these are supposed to run cooler than the version 1, but can anyone who has one confirm that it runs cool?

Here's a little review of my experience with these:
Purchased from Massdrop.com groupbuy on 11/8/12 Received around 12/20/12 (About a 5-6 week wait) Installed a few days later, used the power magic pro option it comes with (will not allow the battery to drain in Parking Mode) Have been running it every day straight for 2 weeks, I go out to the car about once a day and take it for a small drive on days where I don't need to go anywhere (just to recharge the battery) Have not had any issues with a dead battery, recorded video is great quality, G sensors work just as described (for motion detection), and there is minimal heat even when the product is in recording mode for hours. Definitely worth the $200 and change, for a great product and for peace of mind. |

The feature that I really want from the 500 is the wifi. Other than that, the 400 is more than sufficient. Wifi would just make checking the video easier.

Jive, No need to wait - it's already out. Started shipping a few days ago from what I understand. Mine got here today. Will report back once I have it installed and tested out.
