Ordered mine about two weeks ago from Mike at JSCSpeed.com. Love that guy, he always makes buying stuff so easy and knows a lot about cars (I bought all my Miata parts from him, too lol). Anyone know when Borla is going to ship?

We got a few UELs shipping out the end of this month. They take time to build. The UEL's are 20 days or so, and the EL's are even longer as just starting to go into production on those, which is why they are not on our site, they just aren't even close to ready to ship on the EL's.

We have the very first one's coming out of Borla, and we're still waiting ourselves. Lead time on these is pretty long and I see it only getting worse as we head into track season. Hopefully have ours soon.

I hope they come out with an UEL header that has a high flow cat as I don't want to run catless.

Also if people are buying the UEL without a CAT then how do they not get CEL error? I'm not the best with terminology or acronyms as I have too many floating in my head from the computer industry, so something with a little more detailed explanation would be super. Any negatives of running only one cat instead of two? Does it filter less? I would assume so otherwise why would they have put two on a car instead of one.

You can avoid the CEL by placing a sensor bung far enough back where the flow is reduced to avoid it throwing a code. JDL did a design similar to this, and I know Nameless is doing the same with their prototype header. The other option is to use the wire extensions and make your front pipe cat the main cat, but sometimes I believe this takes a tune to do for a cat delete. Option 3 is completely programming out the cat check in the ECU so it never throws a code.

I ran 2 bosch sensors on my '02 Camaro SS on the sensor bungs right after the collector and never threw a code. Only code I threw was the original stock sensors burning out.

I'm guessing a sensor bung is a hole in the exhaust tube that the plug goes into to monitor the o2? That would mean that I'd need an exhaust shop to drill a hole in the exhaust past the 2nd cat for the plug? or cut the wire and wire it into the 2nd bung. I wonder if that would be as easy as cutting the wire and daisy chaining the wires together...
