Poor Subaru, they were the slave. It's a shame they also came away from the deal with a much nicer car with their badges on it.
Which car is better is a matter of opinion. I tried both and I liked the fr-s better just felt more responsive and I don't care about all the extra buttons. Also scion gives a $1000 discount on them to government employees. It was cheaper and if I wanted a sports car with all the extras I would have went with the Gen coupe but I wanted a simple good handling car to have fun with.

I just have to ask, Did you not like the leather? The HIDs? Fog Lights? The Keyless entry and start? The Nav? Heated Seats? Bluetooth? Auto temp?
All for $3000

Gen Coupe still gets the nod?

I put HID in mine and LED running lights for $50 the FR-S has bluetooth. I could care less about climate control I'm already sitting there I can turn the knob. I have Navigation on my phone. And I live in Phoenix so leather is a horrible idea out here. All in all the stuff I wanted cost me $50 plus I got $1000 off the car. My wife has her Maserati that takes me 20 min to figure out every time I get in it. I just want to get in and go and I could care less about the rest. It's all in what each person wants in their car some want comfort some could care less about it. The same as some want performance and others could care less as long as it has a cool radio.

Of all those, i guess the keyless start would have been ok, but not a 3k selling point for me. I have HID and as stated above the frs also has bluetooth. The front bumper was really the big thing for me personally, i wanted a white car, and i do not like the brz bumper on the white car. Ive never owned a "stock" car longer than a month, and this car was no exception, had it less than a month and ive done roof vinyl, shark fin, hid, led everything else, clear side markers, optiguard, rubber winter trunk and floor mats, shifter bushings, and have ordered colin red lens taillights... And ive still spent less than the price of the brz. Im not saying the options on the brz arent nice for the people that use them, but not for me, my lexus had all those extras and i never used them. I still feel this discussion is comparable to two groups of people that all own supras arguing because one side has 6psd tt targas and the other group has 6spd tt hardtops.... The difference is so minimal and all personal preference.... And from what i can tell it wouldnt even be a discussion if it was badged as toyota rather than scion.... Its the same. Imagine if it had been sold as the lexus fr-s?! Lol

My point is, on any other model if car, all the points being "argued" are OPTIONS, not differences per say, but these threads make it seem like the brz is turbo awd and the scion is a toyota 4cyl rwd convertible.... The suspension "difference" and the front bumper are the only features that are not "options" but are actual differences between the cars. Next lets debate which color is better...

This comparison between the two should strictly be between the BRZ premium and the FRS as they share more similarities than the limited including a closer price.. I had the luck to sit in all option choices before buying my car. I didnt buy the FRS due to five things... Scion "image"/service on a Subie motor, front seat material and color accents, radio look, lack of option for rear view mirror dimming/homelink, and most importantly the lack of factory HID's... The bumper differences were unique to each car and didn't swing me either way.. I will say that the BRZ doesn't look as good in all the colors compared to the FRS due to the gray stache... For my color (DGM) it blends well.

I don't care for leather seats. Don't care for HID's either. Don't need fog lights. Or keyless entry and start. Have never cared for factory nav systems. Don't need heated seats. Don't even know what the hell bluetooth is. Auto temp? Don't need it. 3 grand saved. It still seems to escape the BRZ owners that some people just don't care about all that shit...

Then again, I think it has more to do with the badge than anything else.

Mines made from forged steel shipped from China therefore it's a China car because you all know most raw material is from China (just go with it please) OH God, to give credit to all that were involved with this project: someone send me a BRZ, Advics (Brakes Manufacturer), Subaru badge while my CHINA Badge is waiting to be made. I'll put them all on to make everyone happy.

Most importantly, not related, when I make a fast left or right I noticed the wheel is bumping the side walls and making a noise, is that normal?

Yup that's true, red does physiologically call for more speed. (and more tickets)

Obviously I did, if you read page one you would know. I taught you a few facts, thank me.

Yes you're right Poor Sabaru, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_86
Read this, Toyota pushed them to be part of the project (a smart move to cut cost), Subaru initially didn't want to be part of the project, they agreed to supply the engine anyways but a press conference sealed the deal. (Subaru was like oh shit this beauty can boost our sales numbers!)

if they decided to drop out, you'll be driving a Toyota/Scion right now lol. Subaru doesn't make good looking cars. They didn't even make it part of the top 100 global brands. I think KIA even beat them lol!

Being owned by Toyota, Subaru only got a limited number to sell, while Toyota got the bulk of it.

Much nicer? They are identical except for the front bumper. Whatever you like lol!
As AE86 fans would naturally get the car with history, the Scion FR-S/Toyota 86.
(Hey where your BRZ come from? "Oh it's from Toyota's mission, Toyota's design, the 2000GT, Sports 800, AE86 heritage, from the President and Chief Designer!"Subaru manufacturered it, just like how Foxconn manufactured the iPhone.)

On the other hand some of us want that shit...or at least some of it.

I was surprised when they offered the HID's & Nav in the base BRZ. That pretty much eliminated any reason for me to get a Limited which is what you need to get in order to have the majority of what you listed. I was glad to pay the extra $1k for the BRZ though. My car note goes up $14 and my insurance is $36 cheaper than what I was quoted to insure the FR-S. Works for me!
