+1 to that. I mean how many cameras do we need to capture the person. Earlier today a fellow member was hit in the front, a few months back another member had their car keyed on the sides...

Anyway, it isn't invisible, the truth is the world is filled with complete morons. That's why they keep getting hit, the moron factor.

And it certainly doesn't help when the offender is driving a vehicle that is clearly beyond their driving capability size-wise. That's what happens when people insist upon driving enormous gas guzzling pieces of shit.
right! they believe themselves to be safe in these "pigs" so the f**kin' asshholes think they can use 'em as battering rams, and let insurance sort it out! some people are really f**ked! they regretfully think they can talk on their fu*kin' cellphones strapped to their heads, while tooling down the highway in their "pigs' doing in excess of 80 plus, thus creating a false sense of security, and endangering others, and themselves. (w.t.f!.)
how obtuse is that?

I drive trucks at work at times and they are easier to back into spots. That truck driver simple is from Terribad and does not know how big his truck is. Not all truck drivers are bad, just like not all of us are born pro drivers. Bashing all truck drivers and trucks is car discrimination: racism.

I am terribly sorry that this happened to your car, particularly in the rear quarter panel. That is the single worst place to have body damage. It is quite a big process to replace a rear quarter panel, and you will need a shop with expertise to do it properly.

Take your time in locating a shop and check their reviews. You will want a very very good, perfection oriented shop that will do it right, and do it perfect, or not at all. If the panel is off by a milimeter, people can tell visually.

I own a truck, in the city, without a backup camera...and I have NEVER backed into someone so hard I've damaged their vehicle. My trucks model year never came with a backup camera...and I don't feel like paying the money to get one installed. It's all about knowing the size of your vehicle and having good spacial relations.

When I drive my dads f-250 I don't put myself in a position that could cause me to back into someone like this. Oh only if people took the 2 extra seconds and park 20 more feet farther down.
Because backing up is easier than going forward for multiple reasons. 1.) It makes turning into the spot easier, I can fit in most spots in one shot backing in where as it would take 2 or 3 back out and pull in sessions to get into a spot forwards and 2.) Because most trucks CANNOT SEE ANYONE COMING if they pull in forward. Backing out of a spot with a pickup truck and cars on ether side is a crapshoot, you cannot see if anyone is coming in the lane over your long ass-end. Pulling out into someone's way while they are speeding along is FAR more potentially damaging than accidentally backing into someone elses vehicle. If I pull in backwards...I can see past the two cars blocking my view before pulling out.

I do the exact same thing in the BRZ for the same reasons, it's just plain easier, the problem is people need to know the size of their vehicles...and ALWAYS CHECK ALL OF YOUR MIRRORS.

I'm not a dill-hole that parks diagonally across two parking spaces but I am the guy that parks as far away from the entrance to work, the mall, the hospital, anywhere where there is a chance that some moron will ding my car. So far so good, no dings.

I think people should have to justify WHY they need such a large truck and have to take special licensing for driving them. As a few of the devils advocates on here have said driving a truck is different than a car and you should have to prove that your capable of it befor being allowed to do so. There's just no need for some people to have them though. I have a neighbor who's had a massive 3/4 ton pickup for two years and will admit he's never had anything more than luggage for the airport in the box, he just wants to drive a big truck. He can quite well. But still.

I have to agree. With proper mirrors you can see very well (not perfect) from large vehicles. I felt better driving the trucks than the Ford E series vans at my old job and I had to drive through NYC.

Yup, its easier to back in a parking spot in my F250 Crew Cab than my FRS.
