Neither yet. I decided not to worry about it until I had coilovers on the car.

Still struggling with this decision. Every time I drive my S2K I fall in love all over again. It's such a blast! If only it had any kind of storage room...lol

I would say Keep S2K & get 86 few year down the road.

+ Honda should have some fun stuff in a few year....according to the car magzine I saw in japan.

Went to the dealership today to check out the FRS. I loved many things about this car with the fact that it is new being the most tempting factor. However, I ultimately walked away because I couldn't get over how cheap the interior felt compared to my 10 yr old S2000. Comparing the two vehicles made me appreciate the craftsmanship in the S2000, something I didn't seem to notice before. Although I was disappointed with the interior, I think Toyobaru chose the right places to allocate spending on the twins. Perhaps I will bite when I don't have to give up the S to get the FRS.

Craftsmanship? I didn't realize the S2000's were hand made.

Craftsmanship also means something assembled nicely with quality.

Although I never found my S2K's interior to be all that nice myself, but the BRZ/FRS aren't either. They aren't bad for a modern economy car, but they aren't the best thing ever. They are actually better than I expected though.

their interiors may not be, but any honda "type R" engine is built by hand. i'm not sure if the s2000 engine was treated as a type R engine, but i would think that honda would give it proper attention being that it was their 50th anniversary hoorah.

...a useless post that completely misses the point he was making and contributes nothing to this thread.

Just thought the use of the flowery word "craftsmanship" when talking about a Honda's interior was funny. He justified keeping his S2000 because of the apparent craftsmanship of the interior (which he never noticed before...because it's all in his head). Kind of how we (FR-S/BRZ owners) justify buying a slow car because of it's Supercar destroying handling...

Then our ideas of "craftsmanship" differ greatly.

I lean more towards this definition...

"The skill involved in making something beautiful or practical using your hands."

He said "interior" not "engine"...

yes, yes he did... thats why i said "their interiors may not be, but". in english, and any other language, the word "but" is used to sort of offer an alternative thought.

It's an alternative thought that had nothing to do with the conversation.

"Craftsmanship" is a silly word to use to describe a car interior that is not built or assembled by a craftsman. That was my only point...It's like saying I love my car because of how well the artist did with the paintjob...sheesh...

back to the regular program now...
