"I descended through the aether which separated physical possibility from extra-mortal ability and it was The Obelisk who looked upon my shimmering skin and into my fearless eyes. It was she who trembled in disbelief, who scrambled to think of an escape.
My toes gently descended to the scorching sands and once I landed, the Earth itself quaked underneath my presence. Her hair fluttered in the changing winds and her hazel eyes moistened, 'This is not possible, human-- I killed you by my own hands!' I corrected her, 'I am not human.' My voice thundered and ricocheted off of the universe around us at such an astronomical decibel that The Obelisk fell to her knees covering her bleeding ears. She screamed out, 'What are you!?' There was no name for who I'd became or how I'd become it. But I gave it a name, 'Aldebaran.' The roar of my voice knocked her to the ground. In her pain and panic, she blasted a wave of particles at me-- they transformed into daisy petals and were carried off by the wind. She tried to gather herself and barked, 'Human scum! Particulate trickery!' and she blasted a wave of clashing, annihilating particles at me once again-- transforming into petals." - William Bernard Hendriks, White Rook III: The Exodus

"I wanted The Obelisk to be tortured, to feel the squalor it had put humanity through. What it had done to Felix Miles, Marcum Bailey, and Alexander Grey. But I could not do that as long as it was infesting Saera's mind and body.
I approached her slowly. She scrambled in the sand, trying to think of an attack strategy. Wave after wave of mixed particles crashed into aura-fields around me, changing into flower petals and purified oxygen. She scooted backward in the sand until her back propped up against a half-destroyed cinder-block wall. I reached for her forehead with my right hand while staring her purposefully in the eyes. I stopped for a moment as a massive force gripped the planet. The ground beneath us fissured and broke apart, and monolithic mountains exploded from colliding plates of crust. The Obelisk knew she was beaten. She was crushing the Earth with her mind-- taking it with her if she had to. There is no sound quite like the grumbling, creaking and exploding of a dieing planet. I had to act quickly. I reached down and grabbed her by the forehead-- pushing the Obelisk to the back of Saera's mind. Once isolated, I raised my hand from Saera's head and pulled The Obelisk from her mind into the aether in which I was rebirthed. He took the vague ghostly shape of a man-- glowing a bright blue in the binding aether. His voice echoed throughout existence over the roar of the dieing Earth, 'This is my planet!' I focused my mind and closed my outstretched palm, then atomically removed him from existence." - William Bernard Hendriks, White Rook III: The Exodus

"The silence which followed the death of The Obelisk was more refreshing than any spring water or cool breeze-- it was the sound of peace and the death of fear. I knelt down beside Saera and wiped her auburn hair from her sandy face. She was unconscious, but breathing. I smiled and placed my hand on her forehead, then materialized water underneath it. She slowly turned her head from side to side and groaned.
I whispered, 'It's going to be okay, Saera. You're going to be alright.' As she came to, her eyes snapped open and with a gasp she held her hand out at me and tried to blast me away. Nothing happened. 'Your powers are gone now, Saera. You wont need them anymore.' She exhaled slowly and relaxed, 'Will?' My shimmering skin and angelic presence was an overwhelming sight, for sure. I smiled and looked around at the half-death planet around us, 'Well, close enough I suppose.' She closed her eyes and wiped the water from her face with her forearm, smearing dirt across her cheeks, 'Please tell me we won.' I stood up and watched the daisy petals circling in the wind and answered with a giant grin, '. . .We won, Saera.' - William Bernard Hendriks, White Rook III: The Exodus

Not to be picky...but pedals are for bicycles and cars, petals are from flowers...the imagery of pedals flying toward someone was pretty amusing though!

LoL, my mistake. It seems as though most of the time, my mistakes are rudimentary (and embarrassing). I corrected my posts.

While I'm driving today some douche was tailgating me and I was going like 85. So he wouldn't leave me alone, not even for just a sec, so I see further up ahead of me there's an 18 wheeler. I decided he' going to stay behind me at the correct speed limit next to the 18 wheeler. This drove him mad, until it finally donned on him to back off. When he did that I sped up and left him there. He followed me still, but he didn't even try coming close to me again.
![]() Hate when people tailgate me on the highway, especially if they're SUV's with their lights on

That was mild hyperbole. But it seems that they are growing faster than I expected.
Also, probably holidays.

@Dimman No insulation foam at Walmart or Orchard Supply Hardware. I guess I'll make a trip to Home Depot sometime. I have some of the usual packing styrofoam, but little chunks fall out when you start sanding so that's no good.
Also, I was looking for double sided tape, and the guy in the store tells me that he used it to put brass lettering on his house, and when he tried to take it off, he couldn't pry it loose with a screwdriver, and when he finally got it off it took out a piece of the wall with it O_O I bought the stuff that was even stronger than that -_- Shit just got real serious. As I got in my car, a BMW 650 convertible pulls up in the parking spot next to mine, and I notice upon close inspection that its convertible top is actually not much better than mine in terms of aero! Some old gentleman in a Porsche Boxster with a scary amount of bandages on his head also drove by me on the road, and that car has some horrible aero as well. Maybe I should just stop screwing around with aero and accept that my car simply sucks in every way at high speed. This is too hard. They better make the next MR2, and they better make it targa or fixed roof, not this ragtop nonsense. Or, I guess I could increase rear tire diameter by half an inch and then use lowering springs to get the rear half an inch higher than the front total, for a slight improvement. I noticed the wool tuft/string aero testing on the eco place. Awesome. Makes it interesting to think how a couple people and a computer with SolidWorks are better set up than any F1 team pre 80s.
