Toyota DPF C2 Diesel Engine Oil

If you google the above name, this is what comes up.

I will make contact with my team at TSAM and find out who is suppling the oil!
Does indicate fully synthetic.

Aha, thanks for the info!

I'm not too worried about the supplier, it's just interesting.

This oil is very thin, if you shake the bottle sounds like water in a bottle.

HECTIC

I must actually check the Ford top up oil I've got in the garage which I've bought when I got my previous car. It's also "diesel oil" if I'm not mistaken.

I'm glad the 20W50 days are over, it was ridiculously thick.

Oh and a pointless piece of information - it fits in the standard door cupholders!

I'm one of those paranoids that always carries extra oil in my car - especially a high revving car!

LOL!!

My Ford revs higher than the 86 and I've never had to top the oil up.

Oh, and if you want to drive your paranoia crazy, Google "how to check Subaru engine oil level". There are a million different opinions.

What's the Ford's mileage? As soon as you start going south of 160000km and you have a car that can rev to 8100rpm - you start watching the levels weekly!

It's just under 110000km. It only revs to 7800 so it'll be fine.

BTW
Those RSi/RXi engines(black top) were notorious for running bearings, 3 friends who owned them all had failures so I wouldn't use that as a yard stick. Rather look at something like the Civic Vtec and S2000.

It's like someone pissed in a empty quart of oil bottle. Resealed it and sold it as motor oil

0w20 synthetic is what I see posted in the forum.
Once your dealer has advised what oil to use, buy a 5L for top ups as some garages may not stock synthetic.
All 0-20 motor oil is synthetic. FYI
