Tires are Bridgestone RE-11, you can see in the back tire of the first pic.
Hats off to Toyota for actually racing the car before their customers do. I want it even more now. |

whow... Iīm nearly out of words!
This is definitely a cherry on top of the marketing circus they made around this car! Brilliant! I canīt await tomorrow ![]() Unfortunately itīs a bit too far for a short trip ![]() Maybe I have some reasons why theyīre using this rather strange side mirrors. Maybe because the tools and/or molds for the original parts arenīt ready yet. Or you wouldnīt see anything in the original mirrors, because the driver position is more to the rear in a racecar. Or they have a hard-to-camouflage design. If you look at the little triangular window at the A pillar: there is no space for a mirror mounting. I expect pillar mounted mirrors like on the new Audis. I donīt think the off-the-shelf car will look as sporty as this one. The skirts, exhaust, brakes, wing, diffusor and rims surely wonīt be this "cool". Anybody recognized the bootlid? The rear window doesnīt look like it can move. And some features speak of the principle to keep the car low cost: the wipers , the door handles and the gas cap. And i donīt like the rear lights. On the side view they protrude and ruin the line of the tail. And last, but not least: the front turn signals look a bit too complex (in shape) for not being meant to be produced in thousands. ... now only the price tag may be able to wipe out the smile in my face

I wonder if this is the front end of the BRZ as people that saw it last month described it as a Mini-Miserati. This headlights look very Miseratish to me.

You're right about the gas cap, that is kind of ghetto, hopefully it's just easier to refuel when they can pull it themselves rather than the driver? Idk if refueling is required in this race, I know nothing about it.

Yeah I like the headlights, it's the tail lights I'm not gung-ho over. I don't like that they protrude from the body, I'd prefer something flush or molded into the body more. They break the car's lines too much

Unlike the STI sedan that has a longer rear trunk and a less angled rear window so when you open up the trunk, the wing is at 90 degrees. This rear is alot shorter and the glass is alot more angled. I just can't see it opening up as trunk any more than 45 degrees w/out it hitting something; like the wing hitting the rear glass. It has to be a hatch just like the Celica GTS.
