Most of my cars have hit top MPG on quiet backroads with very few stops and starts. But not the FR-S. It gets the best MPG at highway speeds where it is going 2500-3000 in 6th gear. Not sure why this is. In mixed non-aggressive driving, I average only about 26.5 with winter tires on.
If the FR-S were geared as an economy car, I suspect it would get something like 26/40. Last edited by FRiSson; 12-28-2012 at 01:55 PM. |

Dumb question time!!! Lets say I started shifting around 2k... this could possibly put me in 6th gear at a low rate of speed. Does this put more stress on the clutch/ pressure plate running at such low engine speed?
