on the strength of the endorsements in here, I went and bought HLT for my iPhone 5.

I have a trackday at Thunderhill this weekend so I will be playing around with this and hopefully have some cool videos to analyze. One nice feature is the ability to set the video recording to a lower resolution (like 640x480) instead of full 720p HD... something I haven't figured out how to do on the standard Camera app so far. I hate going on a drive and finding myself full out of memory after only 15 min of video recording...

:happy0180: It's all relative to what makes the sport more fun/interesting for you. I totally agree that HLT will take care of the majority of owners needs. It just didn't do it for me, so I just wanted to share my experience.
I agree completely, this a great 90% solution, and fun app, so I posted it!

What does Solo DL cost? Curious if you can post a screen shot, I'm interested in knowing more.

Trackmaster isn't $20 either.

True. I mentioned in an earlier post that TrackMaster was $5.99

Yeah, I have it also. I haven't played with the latest version. I need to get a new phone.

Have any luck with it? I'm still trying to figure out what my issue was.

Oh yea, I used it quite a few times last season. I need to get an external GPS though, cause when I went to Roebling Road, I couldn't get a signal, rendering it useless.

I'm wondering if that was the problem I was having.

I love my RAM mount. Expensive, but VERY well made.

Thanks. I am a bit skeptical about the universal x-grip but if it can handle a rough ride then its my #1 choice

This is the one recommended by HLT, and I can understand why. I was skeptical of the x-grip initially as well. There's no way it'll fall out or move. The entire body of the mount is metal. Very heavy duty.

I just used HLT and a Qstarz timer at Thunderhill this past Saturday and HLT was accurate to within a tenth of a second. My iPhone 5 was mounted to the windshield and no external GPS was used. Pretty impressive.
