I wasn't implying it's a cold air intake, just replying to the thread title as members spoke about ARC.

I have tested and heat soak hasn't produced high intake tamps as of yet. Temps rise slightly at a stop, but very quickly fall back to ambient levels.

I have tested in 60, 50 and 40 degree outside temps. On and off track. From 35mph to 110mph. (Circuit)

Can you share your findings?

Thanks for the intelligent reply.

PS it does not seal to the snorkel, maybe 1" between. How restrictive is the snorkel?

Intake makes power as advertised. Not 10whp, but 4-7 whp.

I did some nice charts for the AIRAID vs AFE. I haven't charted the other intakes I've done.

Here are a couple. The delta is the difference in temp between ambient and sensor. Since both of these are plastic, they tend not to heat soak as fast. Also, these were done in ambient temps above 60. One was 75 and the other was 68.

My dyno testing showed a 2-4 whp difference between using the snorkel and not using the snorkel.
