So just out of curiosity, what is a good bang for the buck coilover system that you guys would recommend? Or at that point just go with the Koni inserts and REC springs?

Ground Control Street system is nice because you get their housings and Koni dampers with valving designed for them.

I am going to try these Tein's and report back i got myself a set and one extra to sell.

Do they offer it for the 86? I think the Flex would be their next step up from these.

yeah they do. in fact the reason I ask is I was originally going to save for a set KW's but I might be able to get a bargain on a set of the street advance to tie me over until I can afford the shoes and socks (rims and breaks) to go with the KW's. But finding any feedback on these has been near on impossible. Admittedly I have no experience in suspension so I may just do it so I can see the difference when going to the KW's and I think I might be able to get it at a price that I could almost sell them second hand and not make a loss but I should be spending the money on other things

Cool, i'm getting to try the Basis pretty much for free so they are worth a shot. i'm fine with no adjustability i don't need 40 clicks of adjustment on a coilover i will post a review compared to my Tein H Tech's on stock shocks probably around the first of the year. I'm going to get the stiffer upper rubber mounts, group s or n something like that.

Somebody cleaned out my distributor before i could get a set ordered. A good option for entry level though if you don't need a lot of adjustment.

@JoeBoxer: Patiently waiting for your review, I've ridden in Basics in other cars, and for the price they do get the job done. I'm looking for a good streetable coilover that won't break the bank, and was hoping to avoid some of the lower end companies (BC/Fortune/Megan) who are based out of China/Korea, so this might be a viable option. Keep us posted when you get around to picking up a set

Will do, i don't know if i'm going to go with them on my personal car i'm gonna add a front sway bar and change tires before i go through the trouble of changing my springs out but if anybody wants a set i will do an entry price on them to get a review out there.

@CSG Mike how do you think these would work for me? Daily driving only, just looking for increased performance and a little more drop than my h techs provide.
